New to Lucid Dreaming, and very curious about it. HELP

Alright, so basically I was just surfing through the internet and i stumbled upon WILDs, LD's, Astral Projection, etc, and found this site. After reading through alot of threads, i am now really intrigued. I would really like to practice and achieve LD's and Astral Projection & so i have some questions.

      1. Do we dream everyday? Cuz most days, i just wake up and i dont remember having a dream and just remember sleeping.. just blackness(?) for lack of better explanation. And if we do, what is the best way to practice dream recalls?

      2. I have had dreams before that were very VERY vivid. I was in my bed, and i could see everything around my room very clearly, as if i was awake, BUT my body would not move no matter how hard i try ( couldnt talk, couldnt turn my head, nothing,) So was this like a WILD or something like that? I have these quiet often.. and sometimes like 2-3 times per night..

3.If you astral project, is it possible to go to some place you've never been before, and don't know how it looks like at all, no idea of the directions to get there? Like for example, i want to go to some kid's house i barely know. I dont know anything about his house, like how even one of the room looks like, don't even know what country the house is, etc etc.

      4. Wat are the most basic things and such that i should practice and read up on to be able to achieve LD's and Astral projection?

      any tips would be helpful!

We dream every night during our REM (Rapid Eye Movement) cycle

If you think your awake, and you can see stuff as clear as normal, It was probably SP, When this happens do you tend to fall back to sleep or gain movement?

Not Sure, Going to read up on astral projection later today, If you dont have any answers try google it. See what you can find

Read some of the tutorials on this site, try and learn as much as you can about what you want to know, that's really all i can say, Sorry if this didn't help.

hey, i looked up wat SP is and yeah im quite positive that wat i was describing in question 2 was sleep paralysis. So it this a good thing, that i get this quite often, and if it is, how is it good?

Well, Sleep Paralysis is cause by your mind think your asleep and put you in the state of SP, The brain does this so you dno't move around in your sleep, Like if your running.. Your not actually running in your bed. I'm no expert on how to WILD, But i think it can be used to you advantage to become lucid, But you'll have to get someone else to confirm that

      Hope that helped abit

AFAIK- for question three, it is possible to go to a place you have never been, but the things that you see there may not reflect reality, and will only reflect what your mind expects to find. You will see what You believe to be there.

If you want to enter SP, you can trick your body into falling asleep by laying down completely still and resisting, moving or swallowing ect because these are all messages from your body to say to your mind are you asleep yet? and if you resist all these messages the body will think the mind has gone to sleep and will shut down, which is what sleep paralyis is.

Yes, we have multiple dreams per night, but most are lost in memory. The best way to build recall is to start, and consistently keep up with a dream journal. You can browse through some of the dream journals here to get an idea of how it is done. Here is the link to the dream journal section of the forums, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=26 .

I believe you were in SP (sleep paralysis) and was on the edge of the dream state. You can browse through some of the tutorials here, especially the WILD tutorial, and learn how to turn SP into a lucid dream. Here is a link to the tutorial section, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25 make sure you check out the WILD tutorial. Also, here is a good base WILD technique for your future efforts, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=42271 .

3.If you astral project, is it possible to go to some place you've never been before, and don't know how it looks like at all, no idea of the directions to get there? I'm no expert on astral projection, but I am pretty sure this is possible, though it may be more difficult than getting to a place you are familiar with. Maybe try asking this question in the Beyond Dreaming section for better results. Here is the link, http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=19 .

      4. Wat are the most basic things and such that i should practice and read up on to be able to achieve LD's and Astral projection?
Reading through some of the tutorials, starting a dream journal, and asking any questions you may have, is a good start toward achieveing lucidity.

      any tips would be helpful!
Hope I helped out a bit, and good luck in your future efforts! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
