      My very own Introduction!

      Hello dear Community,

i just found out about these forums while searching Google for LD related material/sources and was impressed by the rather big membership you have present, so i decided to register!

My nick is obviously Jimmey, i am 24yrs of age and i am, like everyone else here, very interested in lucid dreaming.

I am however, a total newbie, have a dreaming journal running and try to "enforce" as many reality checks as i can during my dreams tho. Only just started to dive deeper into the matter and began reading articles and watching videos about it. After a couple of months trying, while being realistic, that i wouldn't achieve complete lucidity (which of course i did not), i came to one conclusion. My biggest problem is actually remembering dreams, i mean yeah..there is stuff i write into my journal but few times i can remember any picture or even "movies" of my dream. If any of you have some tips for a beginner and how to handle such a problem especially, i'd appreciate it.

With that being said, thanks for reading through my post and i hope i will have a good time here!

PS: Certainly have a lot of good stuff to read through

      Welcome!

Well, you already have the first step down to recalling more dreams. Having a dream journal.

I'd just start out reading every tutorial on here. It's kind of a big task but.. it's worth it. Trust me!

      Goood luck!

Awesome! I just started out a short while ago myself; if you want to trade experiences and learn from each other as we go, just ask!

I'm not sure if i would have a lot to report, but it sounds interesting and might be helpful, so yeah...as long as you don't expect daily updates i'd give it a shot

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

You might find it useful to read some of other people's dream journals to see how they do it, which aspects of their dreams they write down and such.

      Here's the Dream Journal section:

I just posted my own there yesterday, but I have also been having trouble recalling my dreams recently. Hope this helps.

      Welcome Jimmey

Right now, I'm in a bit of a recall draught myself, so here's some things I'm doing to pull myself out of it...

Drinking apple juice before bed (a few people here swear by it - it seems to help improve recall)

Autosuggestion (as you're falling asleep, keep repeating to yourself that you'll remember your dreams when you wake up. The key here is to believe it, though!)

And keep on writing! Even if it's just fragments, write it down!

Also, if you keep a word document or online dream journal, try adding some pictures to your journal. Some people have said it helps improve recall.
