      Cool Introdução

Hello grand people of the conscious dream world! I came from one place called Earth, where your alter egos lie in deep sleep, and i hope i can do some nice socializing with all of you and all those things. Of course, it'll be related to LDing. Who is better to ask other than an awaken entity? I could chat with your morbid sleeping body, but that would be stupid, since the sleeping body does not know any other languages besides Breathing,Snoring and Farting

*ahem* Nonsense put aside, i'd like to introdunce you... myself, centered on my dream self . Usually when i get conscious in a dream... i do get conscious, i know it's a dream. However, in all dreams that i can remember that this happened, i always "played along". Let's supose dreams have storyboards, so i just follow it. It's like if something restrains me from thinking that i can do something else instead of just following the script. I hope that by using the techniques here, i might be able to break these dream-shackles

There was once that i managed to have an LD, without really knowing anything. My friend told me that you can do anything in a dream, if you think about it when you go to sleep. I did it, and i found myself at school, not realising that it was a dream at first sight. I then got to the second floor...somehow... and looked to the sky. It was a black void, without no stars. I got like "Whoa! I'm at school and it's night!(neglecting the lack of stars ) So this must be a dream!" After that i calmed down a little and though what i wanted to do....... And i wanted the school to be launched to the moon. Aaaaaaaaaand it worked. In my way to the moon, the "shackles" where put back on i just played along. My friend that told me to do this appeaed and gave me a friendly handshake, after that, i awoke, and realised the power of dreaming.

So this explains how i got here... And now resuming everything, let's be friends!

You don't have to control them for it to be a lucid dream. I'm not quite sure what you meant by "Usually when i get conscious in a dream... i do get conscious, i know it's a dream." A dream counts as a lucid dream the moment you realize you are dreaming inside the dream, know that I mean?

That means that each and every dream i can recall and remember is an LD... wait... that's wrong.

It's like this, when i'm on a dream, i simply know it's a dream, but i can't do anything other than follow the dream plot, and it never comes to my mind(while in a dream) to do anything else other than to follow the dream plot. I might be lacking words to explain this, since english isn't my native language

By the way, i'm gonna try to do a DEILD this night, any suggestions of what i should do right now? Since i'm going to bed in some minutes.

If you know for a fact that you are dreaming, then you have become lucid. Lucidity doesn't mean you can control every little bit of the dream, but just that you are aware. Practice and patience will bring control.

If you haven't already, start working on a Dream Journal. Writing down your dreams will help you remember them and can also help you find things that you commonly dream about ("dream signs"). Also, feel free to take a look at the Tutorials, which have a lot of good general information.

And your English is fine As I tell my students (I'm teaching English in Russia right now), just say what you can. We can ask more questions if we don't understand. It's just a guess, but are you from Portugal?

Enjoy your stay here at DV!

Nope, actually i'm from Brazil, also, i unintentionaly did an WILD wich led me to get something that resembles a sleep paralysis state(never had one, but i did read things in the forum that told what it's suposed to feel like), but i somehow quited it . I must have moved my mouth or something like that.

Alright, never give up! I'm getting there

      By the way, thanks

Well, apparently you are a natural, because it seems like you lucid dream quite often (even though you just go along with the "plot" of the dream).
This is weird, my friend from Brazil is also a natural, she is usually aware she is dreaming, but she prefers to go with the plot, rather than changing it.

hahaha maybe it is a Brazilian thing

Well, if you are going to try WILD, I recommend you get up (literally, get up), drink a glass of apple juice, read a dream from your dream journal (you can choose which one, or just select a random one), and go back to bed. Choose the most comfortable position for you, and clear your mind of any thoughts, don't move. You will probably feel the urge to move, or something is going to start itching, however DO NOT move, just ignore this and it should be gone in less than a few minutes. Focus on your breathing or on your HH's, and once you have hit SP try to imagine your dream scenario. Try to "step" into your dream body.

If you are going to DEILD, you have to be able to wake up from a dream and not move nor open your eyes. You can do this with an alarm that turns itself off after a few seconds.
