      Noobie here

      Hi all!

I've been interested in lucid dreaming and OBE for many years, but have had little success. It appears I can find all the guidance I need right here!

Although I THINK I've been lucid before, I'm looking forward to having a real, beyond-any-doubt lucid dream.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Sorry to hear about all of the years with little success. I'm sure anybody here would be willing to help you out with getting lucid.

      Good luck!

Hello and Welcome to Dreamviews! I suggest (if you haven't already) starting a dream journal and keeping it updated as much as possible. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. Good Luck in your future efforts!

Go to the dream journals section, get Banhurt's dream journal. It's great for putting tags on things and noticing your dream sign. Also if you dont want a DJ right by your bed.

Thanks for the suggestions! I did get Banhurt's journal and will start using it.

Also, I've been doing a LOT of reading here. Now that I have a better understanding of the term 'lucidity' as it pertains to dreams, I can say I have had many lucid dreams! I've even been able to control some of them, but didn't really realize what I was doing. I never knew about reality checks, flying, etc. Many of my lucid dreams could be classified as WILD, as I try to force myself into a dream as I fall asleep. Also, most of them have happened in the early morning after awakening and going back to sleep.

I got an e-book copy of LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" and am reading it on a PDA along with reading the techniques and other information here.

Wow! What a gold mine of data!

And - THANKS for the welcome!
