      Yup, it's possible.
I've had a dream about myself having a lucid dream before.
      You're not an astronaut.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I believe I have the same problem as you. Perhaps dreaming that we're lucid dreaming (without actually LDing) means that we're getting close to having a DILD?

Twice have I experienced these "false lucids." Both were in the middle of regular dreams, and in both I mentioned that I was dreaming.

In the first one, I looked at my watch and saw a date which I knew couldn't be true, so I figured, "I must be dreaming! This date can't be right!" The date I thought it was at the time was wrong also, but I somehow recognized that the date on the watch was incorrect. I knew I was lucid dreaming and I even said that out loud, so I performed a reality check. I looked at my watch and away and then back again, and sure enough, the time had changed. I showed this to other people in the dream, as if to affirm that I was in fact dreaming. I then remembered some of my dream goals, so I summoned a blue swirling portal to travel elsewhere, but it didn't work. I tried again, and still no success. I then forgot that I was dreaming and continued on as if nothing had happened, responding to the subsequent events as I naturally would.

Throughout that whole time I don't believe that I was lucid, as I had no control or understanding of what was going on, but I said that I was lucid.

In a different dream, I realized that I was dreaming but then dismissed it, figuring that if it really was a dream there'd be bigger crowds of people and more cops. (What was I thinking? This is certainly illogical and it makes me think I was actually dreaming regularly.) I then saw a huge crowd of people, escorted by cops, pass by. Hmm, maybe I am dreaming. Oh well, I continued the dream as if nothing had happened, just following along a string of random events that happen in all dreams, with me having no control. Later on in that same dream, a DC reminded me that it was a dream and I decided to test it by jumping out of a moving car on the highway. (Great RC, not! ) I survived and rolled down a hill, remembered to try some dream goals and was about to, but then woke up.

My illogical actions and lack of control lead me to believe that these weren't lucid dreams. I think I have the same problem as you, knowing that I'm lucid in the dream without actually being lucid.

      yes it can happen.
is just dreaming of being lucid.
the point is, whenever you have a lucid dream, you have NO DOUBT, when you have one you are extremely sure that you had one, after all, the one who can say what happened is you, the one who must judge himself is you.
so, to prevent this, just keep practicing, and when doing reality checks, become aware of what are you doing, this should help.
      bye!

At your first dream: IMO that's a real lucid, you did have some conscious actions but you just didn't have the complete control. Maybe not enough 'faith'? Try rubbing your hands, makes it a lot more vivid and in that way gives more confidence in it being a dream (remember rubbing your hands when you do an RC, also in real life).
The second dream is a bit more on the edge. But you're getting there!!

      OT:
What do you do or think after you say 'I'm dreaming'?
What's the difference between dreaming that you're lucid and lucid dreaming?

I had one of those last week. Frustrating as all get out if you ask me!

One thing that could help you become fully lucid is to REMEMBER what you hope to ACCOMPLISH. Before you fall asleep, decide what you want to do in your lucid dream. It keeps you from just standing there wondering "Okay, what now?" Tell yourself, "When I realize that I am dreaming I will _________." Then, when you become lucid, don't hesitate to act on your intentions. Do it before you get distracted.

Another thing is to remember to remind yourself that you're dreaming. You can forget that you're lucid and go right back into a regular dream, so keep telling yourself, "I'm dreaming. I'm still in a dream."

You were so close! Keep practicing and you'll get it before long

no , you can judge him, his the only one who can know if he was lucid or not.
he came here to know if that problem was normal, and how to prevent it.

Try rubbing your hands, makes it a lot more vivid and in that way gives more confidence in it being a dream (remember rubbing your hands when you do an RC, also in real life).

the problem is, he can't do these things if he is not aware that he is dreaming, I mean, at least he do it in autopilot, and for some reason, he becomes lucid.

      good luck man, keep working

There will be a sticky on what a lucid dream is shortly, and we will talk about the idea of "false" lucids. But essentially, there is no such thing as a "false" lucid.
