      Just out of curiosity

This is the first time I've ever seen any internet community dedicated to reach out to people and try to help them.

I find it quite cool that theres this "Adoption" thing going on in here, and it seems like this community wants to help other people become lucid dreamers. I have no complaints, but I'm just wondering why that is the case.

In the film Waking Life, one of the characters says that he'd like to consider himself the social lubricator of helping people lucid dream easier. Maybe theres some kind of common correlation between lucid dreamers to help others achieve this?

Because as a community, we do what we can to help others achieve lucidity, or to answer any questions they may have. That should answer your question.

I think it's because this is such a wonderful skill that we want to pass it on. It's almost depressing to think how few people know how to do this. Maybe we all have a subconscious goal to get LDing into the main stream of hobbies.

This has been replaced by the DV Academy. Basically, free classrooms with volunteer teachers. Soon to come. Shift has said late january.
