      Hello, and a few quesions

Hi everyone. I have just discovered that I an not the only person on earth that can lucid dream. I have never questioned it because I have been doin it for so long. I have never conciously tried to lucid dream but have had them on average 4-5 times a month as long as i can remember. I never even heard the term "lucid dream" before this morning.
Is it strange that without any intent, practice or learning techniqes that I am so proficient at this?
When I have a lucid dream I have total control of everyone and everything. Unfortunately this usually causes my dream to end soon after I become lucid. I am very happy to learn that this is more common than i thought, and look forward to learning more about it. And hopefully getting better at it.

Welcome to DV! I suppose you are one of the few lucky people who are naturals at lucid dreaming, and especailly with total control.

How long do your dreams last after becoming lucid?

Welcome to Dreamviews! No, it isn't strange. Many of people have experienced natural lucid dreams sometime in their life. So don't worry, it doesn't make you any different

If you haven't already, I suggest you take a look at the Tutorial section of the site. There is so much information on induction techniques and other things, that you could read for hours!

Also, you should keep a dream journal. A dream journal will help improve your recall, so you can remember your dreams more frequently. To start a dream journal, just start writing any parts of dreams that you can remember. In fact, there is a sub-forum on this site specifically for dream journals!

If you have any questions, make sure to ask me, or any other member for some help! Welcome to the community, enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the welcome and the info. My lucid dreams usually last 5-10 minutes I guess. Is that average? Its hard to say because the corrolation between dream time and real time I asume varies. I've had dreams while in the 9 min snooze that felt like they took hours.
I always thought my conciousness in the dream was directly related to the fact I was nearly awake. Thats why they never lasted that long. Im sorry if these insights seem sophmoric but i'm new to all this.
