I made up a house in my first lucid!

So last night I finally had my first LD in which I was able to stay lucid for longer than 10 seconds

In both of the dreams, as soon as I become lucid I instantly get teleported to a house. My 1st LD was inside the house, but my 2nd was right outside in the lawn.

Its kindof weird though, cause its a house I made up. Ive never been to a house thats looked even remotely similar. Funny thing is, I can remember the entire layout of the house and each rooms decor. Im trying to draw it in my Dream journal.

Anyone else experience something similar? I think ill try to leave it next lucid but I dont have any idea where the house is or even if its in the same city as me.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention ive been there before at least 3 times that I can remember, but not lucid.

      Great LD!

Are you sure you haven't been to that house?

I think it's a product of your imagination, maybe it was your ideal house, you just didn't recognize it at first.

No I deffinately havent been there. Its a pretty epic house. Its got 3 visible stories, and an underground labyrinth thing lol. The top story has a huge stained glass lookout room.

I also forgot to mention ive been there before at least 3 times that I can remember, but not lucid.

It could be a dream sign, I guess. You could use that to become lucid

Interesting! My first lucid was in a house too, but I never left the room I started in. The room looked familiar too... but I suppose that's just our minds playing tricks on us.

      You should become an architect.

Labrynth? Sounds like my ideal house.

Really though, if you like math and art, or just designing things, an architect is great. haha. Art usually comes out in dreams. I've had great art ideas, but i'm not a visual artist. I've had great musical arts come through, but in dreams music is never one. Visuals are huge, and very vivid

I love music too, but I'm not as good as you guys I think. I'm hoping for dreams where I'll create my own music, that'd be fun for sure.

Ah, at last! I do this a lot.

I still have the layout sketches of a couple of buildings from old NL dreams. One was a house that I saw both inside and out, the other was part of something larger, I don't recall what at the moment.
But I often see entirely new buildings from the outside, as well as small towns and city streets. I once was even in an alien city with awsome architecture.
It's one of the things I like the most about dreaming. I sometimes actually stop, even in non-lucids, in front of buildings to take a better look. I'm a total dream tourist.
I'm not an architect but I do love architecture and sort of do it as a hobby. I've been designing fantasy buildings for many years now.

Should I use a pen and paper approach if I want to draw? or tablets? and will my PC auto go to desktop if I WILL it... those booting ups always waste time.,

Houses and buildings usually represent your psyche, your inner life. The basement usually represents the subconscious, the attic usually represents your higher mind, or spiritual sense. This seems clear to me based on your dream. The stained glass lookout room sounds very...church like or mystical might be a better word.
Also, the labyrinth in the basement sounds very 'subconscious' to me. A very powerful practice for lucid dreaming in buildings like this is to take out the walls and the ceilings between floors. This integrates your mind. I would look at the labyrinth from above all at once if I were you from the observatory. Bring some light in there and open the windows. Let the light go all the way to the basement.

Wow that makes such good sense to me. Come to think of it, theres a spiral staircase that I could never go down to the bottom of. Its way too deep. I often see a Dream character inviting me to go further, but i chicken out of it and go back up.

Thank you very much for the insite friend. I now have a ton of things to do next time I go lucid. Do you know, perchance, a way I could get out and explore places like my house and neighborhood, or a dream world?

@morbid73 - Deffinately! Ill make a discussion thread if it ever happens

Yeah, as far as the 'how to' stuff, there is not really any tricks or advice, just gotta figure out how to do it. But dreams are a language of the subconscious, not only a recreation. Figure out why you want to go to dreamworlds, neighborhoods. Get your subconscious involved. Find out what it wants to do. It is like a child, and you need its help, and it won't help you do things that it doesn't want to do.

Things aren't always what they seem in the dream world. More often than not they are symbols. And while there are some pretty common symbols, everybody is a little bit unique. Look for plays on words and puns.

Your subconscious will help you if you can interest it in what you are doing, but better yet is to be interested in what the subconscious wants. After all, now that you are lucid, your subconscious can finally speak to you directly, and you can finally listen. And when you become conscious of the subconscious, they have a word for that, and that is super-conscious.

I find the more stuff I see, whether in waking life, games, movies ou photos, the more "colorful" things get in terms of dreamscape. Give it a try.
      Good luck.

I just downloaded and watch this movie called "The Science of Sleep". It's a nice movie and you'll learn some ideas from it. There are still other movies, and I'll try downloading them

I saw this post so I looked up the Science of Sleep and watched it. I was disappointed! It wasn't really about dreams, a little, but not really. It was about how he couldn't get the girl he wanted. First of all, #1 Don't tell the girl you like her romantically. That will scare her. You got to get her to think that she likes you romantically #2: At the right moment you make your move, or get her to make the move. But you don't have to tell her that you like her before you make the move. Just be cool and fun. Keep it high and let it flow. Use your actions and body language to let her know you are into her.

This guy broke all the rules. And then he cried and acted like an asshole and acted all rejected. Hopefully he learns from all this. If you have the right frame of mind you cannot be rejected ever. The right fram of mind is "You are a beautiful girl, but you are not the only one. I like you but I don't need you." Then there is no pressure on her and she is free to be herself.

Anyway... sorry for the off topic rant.
