I'm not entirely new here, but...

I first heard about DV and lucidity all together a year or two ago, looked around, and never really got into it. I come back now with a more devoted and interested mind. I have a dream journal sitting on my desktop waiting to be filled up, and I plan on attempting several -ILDs tonight and the following nights. I desperately want to experience this wonderful part of sleep, and I'll be persistent about it. My first lucid will probably include many dirty, dirty things.

Pic below is my empty DJ

      UH, thanks for the picture?
Ha ha. Anyway welcome. What exactly do you mean "I'm not entirely new here"? Also good to hear you'll be persistent at getting a lucid dream. Thats pretty important.

I sort of glazed over your gnome avatar as something typical (it didn't register) until I looked at again and thought, "Hey, she's using a gnome with a eye patch for her avatar, cool!"

      But seriously? Gnomes are creepy.

It does, true, but I recognise it as a gnome from world of warcraft

Ah, I see. I know nothing about WoW. From what I've heard, that might be for the best.

Hmm... you sound determined. So do you record your dreams on computer? I guess that means you have to sit in front of your PC as soon as you wake up. I cannot do that...I keep a book and a pen by my bedside and jot things down. (if I am not feeling lazy, that is)

I keep some sheets of paper and a pencil next to my bed, and when I get up, I transfer my notes or the entire dream to the computer. I'm horribly disorganized with anything but.

      Also, Gnomes are amazing.

So do I actually. I find if I get up as soon as I wake up, I forget all my dreams, so I keep a pen and paper handy and then type them up on the computer later.

My lappietop is right beside my bed so as to make it as least effort as possible
