Do dream types effect ability to become lucid?

I'm a bit new to how dreams are usually structured, I can only remember about 10 second sequences of most dreams, but I have found out enough to make me wonder if they my dreams usually are will effect if I can gain control easily or not. Most of my dreams are in a third person view where I am looking at my body or just at any scene in general, like a movie. This made me think how effective RC's would be since I'm not normally in a first person view. Is there any way to make them more consistantly first person, or when I feel the need to do a RC in my dream (which unfortunately hasn't happened yet), will I go back to a first person view?

I've experienced this one, a dream that is like a movie playing in front you, and your in third person view. My second LD was in that way. In my own opinion, no matter how your view on your dreams is, as long as your aware that you're dreaming, then you could be lucid. Though you're in third person, you could still see things that could be impossible in real life, that's the time you do a reality check. When you become lucid, you'll go back to first person view

That's cool, thanks. Now I just need to work on my awareness...

Try and get into the habit of checking if you're dreaming any time you see anything out of the ordinary, extremely lucky, or unbelievable. For example, I'd have to do a reality check if I got a 3-pointer in basketball- that kind of shit just never happens to me...
