Not having any dreams - what to do?

      Hello.

I'm in a dry-period at the moment. I haven't had a dream for about 4 days, or well, I can't remember them at all. Any ideas on what I could do some have more dreams, or recall them better?

      Jacob.

Play memory games. the more your brain exercises on trying to remmeber cards, the better your recall is

Okay, so taking out a deck of cards and trying to remember the order of them, or the order of a section of the deck?

Any other games/techniques that I could try out?

      Jacob.

everybody always dreams every night, you just aren't remembering them. maybe try making sure you are getting enough sleep, and good quality sleep. and when you wake up, try really hard to remember what you were dreaming before you do anything else. and maybe focus really hard on remembering them in the morning as you fall asleep.

Actually, the sleep I have had the last couple of days have been pretty bad. I find when I have been drinking, I don't remember anything at all, and after a weekend of drinking, my sleepryth is ruined. For instance, last night I tried the technique where you tell yourself: "When I dream, I want to recognize I'm dreaming", and keep telling myself that till I fall asleep. Only problem was I wasn't tired at all, so I kept telling myself that for about an hour till I got really bored and gave up, and didn't actually fall asleep untill 4 o'clock or so, giving me only 2 hours of solid sleep. I hope it'll be better tonight!

While it's technically true that you need better memory to be able to recall your dreams, in my case, I have amazing memory IRL but I haven't recall a dream in the last couple of dreams, probably due to a couple of factors

trying eating bananas and drinking a bunch of milk. they are supposed to help with dreaming. Also you might want to try changing your sleep schedule slightly.

I drink about 1 litre of milk every day, and I eat 1-2 bananas aswell(just a coincidence, I'm actually not drinking milk and eating bananas to dream more ).

Thanks for the help guys, but the problem solved itself, I recall 2 dreams from last night

I actually use cannabis on a regular basis for my insomnia, and I still remember most of my dreams and have even been lucid for the last few minutes of several dreams. I think maybe abusing it all day can cause you to forget though
