Ok i am new to this forum so bear with me.
i have been reading up on lucid dreaming for some time now and have followed the necessary steps to induce my own during sleep but seem to be running into problems. i have been keeping dream recall for some weeks now but sometimes i am to lazy to write them at 6 in the morning and then obviously forget them later in the day. i do reality checks but find myself forgetting about them every other day. and i know persistence is key but sometimes i feel like it wont work but i know i cant stop because lucid dreaming is a skill not a gift. so my questions are:

Do i need to keep record of every dream from the previous night?

when i do my reality checks when walking through a door, into my car, and glance at my phone does that mean when i do this is my dream i should say to myself "reality check, am i dreaming?" then i will be aware of my dream state and go from there?

while sleeping does it help to continuously say in my head "i will have a lucid dream tonight, i will be aware of my dream state"

any other tips/techniques would be immensely helpful.
