Re: jolting myself out of the dream!

Welcome to DV, GK. It is, it seems, just a matter of trying too hard. It's more important to have confidence and knowing that something will happen. What kind of things have you tried doing and what seems to go wrong? Have you been trying to do anything in particular? If so, you can mention a few things and we can try to give you some pointers. Also, if it helps, make a list of things you want to do and just focus on one so that way when you get lucid next time you don't have to take time and think about it. If you're into flying, though, there are a number of posts around that contain numerous ways of going about it.

Maybe since you've been getting migranes, there's something different about the way you've been sleeping. I'm not any sort of science/phisiology expert, but I'm wondering if whatever causes the migranes might be causing you to become lucid in the first place. Feel free to ask if you've got any more questions.

well it seems like the miagrains have a part in it .....but some of the dreams are a little odd like i had this one dream every night for a week and as the week went on the dream got more detailed ..i dreaned this girl got into a car wreck and died i saw road signs and i could smell gas and felt the firelike i was standing there watching it . well later that week (i had told friends about it) my friend called me and told me to turn on the news and there it was a car wreck a prego girl and on the same crossroads that i saw... as for pushing i kep trying to push for more info like names and being able to see faces i can never see faces in my lucid dreams like sometimes i can't see past the neck or it's just fuzzy. sometimes they arn't clear but i can hear voices and people walking around kinda like if your in a coma..i don't know it's wierd lol . any idea's?

Is it that the faces are fuzzy, or do you simply recall them as such. As for me, I almost never remember characters descriptions, unless it's someone I know IRL and can readily recall them. However, there are times where I will remember a name for no reason whatsoever. Could you have a DC write down their name or something like that? Writing isn't always accurate in a dream, but it may yield some interesting results.

I don't really have an opinon on "prophetic" dreams. As a Christian I hold the view that it's possible, but just their occurence makes me a little skeptic in some situations. You know

Out of curiosity, are you in college? If so, where do you attend?

I'm not really sure what you could do for that. I've never personally had that problem.

      Anyone else have any ideas?
