      Introduction & First SP Experience

Hello! I've been a lurker in the forum for a little under a month. I've found out about this site while browsing random videos on YouTube and I'm very happy that I did. I'm basically a noob with LDing and have never experienced it. I have read many tutorials and personal experiences about it and it has gotten me more determined to get one. Last night, I have gotten one step closer to my goal. I had my first SP (A very strange one). It was accidental. I wasn't really planning on trying to get a LD that night (I've tried different techniques of WILD, FILD, DILD) but luckily I almost did.

I took a nap on the couch around 6pm yesterday. My sister woke me up around 10:30pm and told me to go to my room and sleep. As I was on my bed, I started daydreaming about random stuff. I wanted to change the scenario but ended up "waking up in my room". I knew something was going on because my eyesight was crystal clear (I wear glasses and contacts) and the room was bright. The strange part happened next. I suddenly felt this rush throughout my body and felt myself being forced to sit in a sitting position. I was freaking out as my back was being dragged along the wall (my bed is positioned against the wall) and towards the foot of my bed. I tried to move my body but I couldn't. I then felt a little push and my body was plopped down on my bed. A million things was rushing through my head. I thought I was sleep walking (lol) because everything felt and looked so real. Oh, and the fact that I didn't hear or see anything weird (I was expecting it). I "blinked" my eyes as I was helplessly laying there and when I opened them my room was flipped to its side! I was freaking out again and started repeating in my head that there is nothing at the foot of my bed. Of course my mind betrayed me and I started thinking that there will be something there if I peered over. Then, I felt the familiar rush of my body being forced to sit up and I was thinking "No! There is no round two!" I tried to move but of course my body wouldn't. I don't know what happened next because the next thing I knew I felt my real self on my bed. I felt a strange tingly feeling on my arms and a little on my legs. The feeling was going away though and I was amazed at what just happened earlier. While I was thinking this, I suddenly felt the tingly sensation creeping back but I was too scared and forcefully moved my left foot and the tingly feeling went away at a faster pace until I couldn't feel it anymore. I slowly opened my real eyes and the first thing that popped out of my mouth was "Oh, my god!"

I tried to have another SP but I was too excited to concentrated and ended up staying awake for 3 hours and just fell asleep normally. Sorry if this post was a little long.

      Hi, welcome to the forum!

That's a pretty crazy experience. I remember the first time I experience sleep paralysis I had no idea what it was and it terrified me to the core of my being.

Do you keep a dream journal? They're really helpful as they help immensely with dream recall and let you keep track of your dream signs.

Again, welcome to the forum! Feel free to ask me any questions you have =)
