      Thumbs up Better Dream Recall

Hello. I just found this site yesterday but it was not the first time i have tried to attempt the things this site talks about. I don"t have very good dream recall. I would say at best i can remember key details of my dreams about twice a month. When i do remember, they are sometimes very extravagant or off the wall, which makes them pretty easy to remember. Last night I tried (with out any success) to verbally and mentally tell myself to remember my dreams. Often looking forward at the excitement i would have while dreaming and what ever else in that category. So i was going and a going on with this and then i kinda felt myself drift off almost directly into the beginning of a dream. (half awake and half asleep) This caused me to wake up and have to start over. I have done this times before and it has resulted in sleep paralysis and a mix between thinking that are happening and not happening. (on a different occasion, i was sleeping and i heard and felt a ball fly into my head.. there were no balls in my room or anyone to throw them.) I think I'm on the right track because I had this dream where i was talking to my friends mom and something she said made me realize i was dreaming which caused me to be aware and then get sleep paralysis and have a short time where reality and my dreams were mixed slightly. I'm now starting a dream journal. Does anyone have any advice on how to increase my dream recall or can anyone evaluate what the examples i have given you actually are? (beginning of lucidity, lack of dream control, INSANITY (lol jk))

      Thanks
      -Dig

They key to dream recall is to practice and give yourself more awareness that this is what you want to do. This site has some excellent tutorials which give advice as well as some ery helpful people whom will assist you with questions oyu have. The most important aspect is you. Like anythng else, you have to make a commitment to do this and have to want to do it. This more than anything will help you become successful IMO.

I find the most important thing for my dream recal is when you wake up dont just think you forgot your dream because you didn't. Stay in the position you woke up in or go back to that spot if youv already moved and try and remember. It always just blosems out of no where for me.
