Unable to realize I'm dreaming no matter what...

Hey I'm a newbie and I actually do know alot about lucid dreams and techs but I don't know how to use them...I've been doing a ton a RCs every day, and I even tell myself "The next time I wake up I will realize I'm dreaming and become lucid" and stuff like that. But when I look back at my dreams I realize dreams never even come close to crossing my mind when I'm dreaming. Some things are so weird but seem so normal. Any help with this or tips?

      First of all, welcome! ^^

Secondly, try not to get frustrated or impatient. Often overly stressing about LDing will actually prevent you from becoming lucid. The main thing is to practice, practice, practice. Everyone works at their own pace, and it takes some longer to get the hang of it than others. Keeping a dream journal and making a list of all of your dream signs is one of the best things you can do as a beginner. Once you begin to recognize what your dream signs are, you'll find that it is easier to actually notice them in your dreams.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Like Hazel said, it's important to keep practicing. The best thing you can do is improve your recall, and the best way to do that is to keep a dream journal. Record every detail you can remember in the amount time you have in the morning. Before you know it, you'll be constantly looking for dream-signs.

You could always try more direct techniques like WILDs, found in the tutorial section.

Chuckles, ^^ thats called a V-WILD. Its quite an advanced technique , but works great if you can imagine/visualize things well.

OMg whats wrong with you. Everyine here has Lucid Dreams every time we dream. Ok seriously sounds kind of silly doesnt it? In reality you have to practice to achieve something. Sometimes the way you are trying is actually the best way for you. Experiment with different methods and see what feels right for you. Above all, dont give up. It will probably happen when you arent expecting it the first time. Enjoy the journey toward achievement, it makes the end result feel that much better!!!
