I did my second WILD attempt last night. I took a 5-HTP, and went to bed around 10 pm. I listened to some isochronic tones on the way.
My alarm woke me up at a little after 3 am. I went to the bathroom, drank some water, and went back to bed. I listened to tones for about 20 minutes (The ultimate induction method and a sleep Isochronic).
I experienced five dreams. Four were vivid, and pretty much the same thing over and over again.
I got out of my bed, opened my door and went outside. Every time I got out of bed, the time of day would change.
The first time it was bright outside. I was hanging out with some people. The last time this happened I mentioned that I was in a dream. One of the characters challenged me on that fact, and demanded that I freeze some grass with ice. I blew on it and it froze.
Then the same character demanded fire. I was able to do that task. They asked for water too, but I declined, claiming that was stupid.
I know my dreams are nowhere as vivid as some, but it was so bright and felt so real I thought for a second I woke up late. I ended up waking up five minutes before my alarm went off again, however.
So my questions are:
1. Do you consider what happened to be a vivid dream or a lucid dream? I consider that moment in the last dream to possibly be lucid, but really only the moment. It didn't seem like I had manual control mastery like some, but I felt having that moment involved enough control that it could be lucid. But it's my second attempt, so I am of course not sure.
3. Why is WILD so effective?
Anatomically speaking. Seriously. I don't know how the heck I had five dreams and remember parts of all of them. The last time I attempted a WILD was about three weeks ago, and I did have results too.
