Exclamation Long-time lucid dreamer (not with your site-just in general) meets unanticipated scary outcome

In dream: I found my son's notebook lying outside of a Church many years from now (kid is currently 12 and has no notebook--and-also-we are not religious), and I found many examples of great lyrics (kid is budding musician, but is learning instruments-and is not writing lyrics at all at this time).

I knew this boy had the potential to write great lyrics, but I was blown away by what I saw. I paged back to the beginning of the notebook, and saw the first entry was not music related, and instead referred to my own first experience as a psychic, aiding in solving murder cases. (Obviously, I am not psychic...this is just dream hooey).

While reading this, I was 'recalling' the events of my first case. My dream then switched over to replaying this 'memory'. Enter lucid dreaming, as I knew this was a dream of a dream. This 'memory' was of a dream I had in the past-and as this dream was set in the future, the past I dreamed of was right about now. Yes, I am now dreaming about a dream I am having now, and know I am dreaming. Twisted or what?

I dreamed of a steep hill, with an intersection at the top of the hill. This transition caused many fender bender car accidents. This intersection was close to an area under a freeway overpass. The concrete on the left of this area was shaped in a skateboarding friendly way, encouraging usage. There was a good deal of graffiti in this area, but most was faded to illegibility due to usage. The only thing really visible was a symbol that looked kind of like an asterisk *. Thick sections of cardboard had been set up in an attempt to make a ramp, but were obviously ineffective, given rips and tears on the leading edge of the cardboard.

On the far right side of this area, there were a stack of 3-4 oblong boxes. I had been growing more and more sick to my stomach as I 'looked' over this scene, but when I 'saw' these boxes, I was struggling not to vomit.

I 'knew' that in the second box down, there was a dead young woman wrapped in plastic sheeting. She had been attacked by one male person, had been attacked, tortured, raped, and then asphyxiated by choking.

I 'saw' flashes of where she had been the night before. She'd been at a club, in an outdoor area with a trellis style roof, with many people. I could see the lighting, the beads (Marti Gras style) she was wearing, her smile as she danced in the flashing lights. The body of the girl found had no beads, etc. so this was was an image a while before her death, but on the same night.

Please help! I have never had a dream anything like this before. I don't believe in precognitive dreams, but I can picture this girl (age 23ish) in such a clear manner, I find it terribly disturbing. She has straight brownish-black long hair, brown eyes, very short denim shorts, a strappy light blue shirt, a white button-up shirt she discarded early on during the club scene, and flip-flop sandals ( both are with the body, but only one is still on her feet).

I don't dream like this. Normally. What the heck?

I think what you are experiencing is a recurring nightmare. I've had one or two of these in the past and they are vivid because they are so scary. I don't know much on this topic, so I'm not sure how to make them go away, but for me they just disappeared with time. Trying to shift your focus to something else. The vividness is very scary, I agree, but I think this is a pretty normal nightmare, most people have had one or two of these nightmares which they can remember very vividly for a long time because it was very scary. I recommend you relax, try to let go of the topic and shift your focus, and it should stop bothering you.

I have had recurring nightmares many times with many themes. That's why this weirds me out. This is nothing like anything I dreamed seen before.

When I have bad dreams, they all involve people I am close to. Narcissistic me, but I have never dreamt about a stranger dying. This was last night, so let's hope there is no reoccurring theme LOL. I saw enough.
