      Self hypnosis for lucid dreaming?

Anyone else believe in this? Today I decided there is no loss in self hypnosis so I decided to find a seemingly good tutorial on how to do it and I have to say it was very relaxing. I can hardly remember what I did during it but now I am almost ever 2 hours having a strong urge to do a reality check. Now what I ask is do you guys think hypnosis is a good way to try lucid dreaming.

I tried it long ago, even though I never had trouble with LD. I was curious. I found it uncomfortable because for some reason, my body could not do the normal movements during sleep. I would have to break state in order to move.

      Hey Supacoopa,

I think you did it wrong. When you begin with self hypnoses you have to view different books about it. I don't think you can just learn it by a tutorial. You need some background info to really understand the concept of hypnosis.

When you do it good, you can give yourself affirmations and future tasks which can change your behaviour, attitude or in a long term your personality. All without even knowing that your changing.

Hypnosis is just talking to your deepest self and ask or order him to do stuff.
You have to wright your own hypnosis to work properly. The reason why you couldn't sleep is probably because you had a hypnosis which said something like the following:"Empty your mind, don't let any thought in again.... bla bla bla.... when you wake up, you are energized and full of energy" Of course you can't sleep. One positive point for you.... you are effected by the hypnosis because you had your worst night. So it means when you do it good, it will help you!

So, look into the subject and transform yourself to a LD-master. It should be possible.

I'm just beginning with self hypnosis but I see great possibilities in this.
Let me know if you continu on this subject, maybe we can share some exeperiences.

Sounds pretty interesting. Give me some links guys, I might as well try this.
'The petals dance through the wind,
The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
      rises a black moon.'

      Hey LucidMax,

Can't help you with that. Try you local library, bookshop or Amazon. I don't think it's easy to find and order all information you find on the internet.
