American Dad leading to Dreamviews... That's a new one.

In any case, a large number of factors can affect the ability to have a Lucid Dream.

There are many vitamins that metabolize into certain components that assist dreaming. For example B6 and Trypotphan metabolize into Seratonin, which heavily influences dreams and nightly sleep. As does Melatonin. All of these are naturally occurring, and sources of them can be found in Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Peanuts (such as Almonds), Turkey, Bananas and more.

As for a sleep schedule, a regular 6 to 8 hour sleep schedule is sufficient; though it is also possible to follow a polyphastic sleep patterm (many short power naps through the day, instead of one cycle).

Also be sure to keep a dream journal and do constant reality checks.

Are there any specific goals you have in mind for Lucid Dreaming?
