      Red face First Lucid Dream

So after 3 nights of all this i had my first lucid dream.
I figured my dream recall was pretty good, both these nights I've remembered 2 dreams without effort so last night I tried the FILD (Finger induced) method with great success.

Technically I had 2 lucid dreams, I woke up during the night right after a dream and lay, doing the finger technique. Next thing i know i pass a nose reality check and feel this odd tingling or a "whoosh" over my body in bed, pull back the covers and stand up. It didn't feel normal, it felt... slightly odd but I remember thinking "I've felt this feeling before"
At this point i lost control and woke up. I called it a night and went to sleep.

Woken up in the morning by family leaving for work (my day off ) I try again, i knew this might not work, i was significantly more awake this time. I say to myself "in 5 mins time i will do a reality check" over and over and what do you know, I pass again.

Determined not to lose it this time I use a method I read on here to keep it going, effectively trying out all 5 senses one at a time. After doing this I think it would be fun to make my blanket smell like strawberries... this works to a small extent lol... it was a sort of weak smell but was surely there.
It's night-time and I don't want my first lucid to consist of me getting eaten so i close the curtains, look the other way, look back and its daytime. This causes a slight loss of control and i find it hard to move myself (any advice for if this happens again?) I shout at myself that this is "my f**king dream" but seem to have no luck. In an attempt to get out of this state i fly (without opening the window?) outside, and start shouting, about how "im freakin lucid" I do several passes of my house before flying to my first school (must have time skipped since it was almost instant)
I must have been losing control here because i decided to try and give myself "super strength" to break a branch off a tree. Rather than give me super strength the branch seemed to become all moldy as if it was trying to give me an excuse to break.
I fly for about 10 more seconds then crash into a roof, I try flying again but now cant.

I decide i need a Dream guide (I read about this somewhere) so summon a couple of DC's I see them running towards me all wearing turquoise.
I pick one to be my guide (my plan is to make this DC recurring).
This is where I lose control completely, one of the DC's (one that i didn't even pick!) starts talking to me about insanely boring stuff, about how she will be working with my dad. I notice shes got one hell of a mono-brow.
I Lie down and instantly think "big mistake" as i feel dragged back to reality.

I wake up and hop on here!

      cool!
      but.
next time, why dont you do one thing at a time, and take the time to actually enjoy what you're doing, rather than going on to something else.
when i have a lucid dream the first thing I will do isorder a pizza.

      PIZZA
      pizza is sacred.

Awesome dream control for a first lucid. I still haven't managed to summon a DC more than once.

I shout at myself that this is "my f**king dream" but seem to have no luck.
Keep in mind that the best way to keep a dream stable is to remain calm. Any kind of excitement can easily distract you and wake you up or end the dream. Try focusing on your surroundings more, using all five senses, and feeling the things that are in the dream with your hands.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

Thanks, I will try this, i also read that rubbing hands together can help too. My main problem now is becoming lucid again, last night the FILD method worked again, though I woke as soon as I did the RC.

To summon the DC, I was thinking "Why can't i fly..." then I thought "I know, i need a dream guide... but i dont have one yet so lets get a selection to choose from" Along came three.

CONGRATULATIONS ON FIRST LUCID . ALWAYS rub your hands together and say "INCREASE LUCIDITY/CLARITY NOW!" As soon as you enter a lucid. I will try the FILD tonight and tell you my results... Did you use autosuggestion to wake up?

Good job on your first... and second? Lucid dreams ! You felt the rush didn't you? Don't worry happens to all of us, we want to do everything at the same time and end up losing control.
About not being able to control yourself, I have a similar problem sometimes, it's kinda like a glitch in some of my lucid dreams in which I feel dragged by the floor, extremely heavy. The way I overcome this is by calming myself down, then screaming "NONE OF THIS SHIT TONIGHT!" works pretty well for me
