The first thing I would do is look for water. Since you said I had shelter, and if I didn't I would use the raft as the base of a shelter to make it quickly any way, water is my priority. So I would explore and look around the area, priority on finding water. While I am out looking for the water, I will also keep an eye out for food, and any useful objects I could find.
The ice skate, I would try to take off the blade to use as a knife. I would use the laces for string. The shoe part I might use as a cup, or I might tear out any padding to see if I can use it as tinder. If its mostly just plastic and rubber I would save it for my signal fire. Throw it onto the fire to crate a really thick black smoke. You don't want to breath that stuff in though, its probably toxic, so be careful. Alternately, instead of making a knife. It might be possible to tie the blade to a stick, using the laces to form kind of a spear. Though if you make a knife you could also carve the end of a stick into a point to make a spear.
Wood I have is either going to go to making a fire, or saved for the raft. If the raft we have is just like a bunch of wood tied together, the kind that you picture when you think of going down the river on a small raft, then I would modify it. That type of raft isn't very reliable out at sea. I forget what its called but what you do is you have the main raft, then like two smaller rafts attached on both sides of the main raft. I would crate one of them.
What I do from there, would really depend on the situation. If there isn't enough food on the island to support you, you have to go back out at sea. If there is no water, then the situation is even worse. You might be practically forced to go back out.
However, I would avoid going out to sea, unless I had some way to bring water with me. Also, you need to create some form of shade out at sea or you are just going to bake.
If the island is suitable for long term survival, with food and fresh water, I would probably stay. Staying is a lot safer. There really isn't many islands in the world today, that someone doesn't visit. So chances are if you wait, sooner or later you will find someone. The island needs to have enough food and water though.
