Yeah, I read that one of the aftershakes caused a power outage for some people. They should've resolved it by now I would imagine, though maybe the internet connection is glitchy. Then again, maybe getting on DV isn't your main priority if your house has been smashed by an earthquake.

I was surprised to see this! How caring.

It was very scary. I woke up just before the quake (they say a small rumble preceded the big hit) and decided to go back to sleep when the whole room swayed heavily. My cupboard opened, throwing all sorts of shit out which freaked me out. Then as the bed started to move, the power went out. I did a few RCs and then crapped myself. It took a while to understand what was going on, I was in that phase when you wake up and you are confused and are still a bit like your non-lucid self in the dream world.
We sat under the table for 3 to 4 hours. Power was out for 48 hours. Water has been contaminated until yesterday (or the day before) which meant boiling lots. A few favorite shops and places are destroyed in town. Our house has no damaged, but we lost a few silly things like lamps, a painting, and an oldish laptop. Nobody I know was harmed physically, but many are traumatized.
I had Internet back after a day and a half, but we left a few days a go to a crap holiday house to stay for a bit (against my will, I want to get back to life). I'm not particularly traumatized by it, I was very scared but I'm a little over it now. Some are scared over hype that another quake will hit (thanks to the media) and others can't take the rumble of the after shocks which are regular. The only longterm effect its had on me mentally is dreaming about being in fields with old towers collapsing around me (although in the dream I thought I was in Gmod lolol).

Strongest quake I've been in was a 5.5ish, maybe 5.7, and I just sit there and ride it out. I like them. Never traumatizing, but I'm sure a 7 would freak me out

Ehh, some of our after shocks are 5's.

Strongest quake I was ever in was.. oh that's right, I live in Denmark, we don't get nature catastrophes like the rest of the world. Har har har.

See, that's not bad. However, a lot of your buildings have been knocked off their foundation, so a 5 is pretty bad in that case
