      Whose biography should I read?

So, I have to read a biography or autobiography by the end of the summer. I've got a few ideas, but I want to examine as many options as possible, so I've come for your suggestions. Anyone you think would be particularly interesting. Thanks in advance.

If not, then at least watch the interviewS he gave later on in his career.
You'll witness first hand just how insane this Genius had become before he died.

Idk, Mark Twain? I've been wanting to read about his biography for a while now for some reason lol. What kind of people are you interested in reading about? Are there any limitations?

Robert Graves - Goodbye to All That

A WW1 autobiography that isn't too heavy on the war, though the war years are very much enjoyable (Siegfried Sassoon sounds terrifying). And written by a writer, which makes it maybe more compelling a read than most factual biographies, auto or otherwise.

Not overly long, if that's a concern.

      Read it.

Really no limitations on who I chose, the book just has to be appropriate for a senior-year English class. Originally I thought I would definately read one on a musician, but I thought I should think of other artists, political or historical figures, perhaps scientists (the suggestion if Nikola Tesla has me quite interested). At the thought of political figures, Che Guevara also came up. Only real biography I've ever read was No One Here Gets Out Alive (Jim Morrison), and I thought it was a fantastic read. I'm trying to look at people sort of off the beaten path - such as those I wouldn't expect any of my classmated to have read.

I was also going to suggest Tesla. I'd love to read a biography about him, in fact, I think I shall...

(Also, Hunter S. Thompson...although might not be appropriate for school.)

Clint Eastwood has a very interesting biography. Then there's Walt Disney, Jimi Hendrix, Abraham Lincoln, Che Guevara, Ed Gein, Mao Zedong, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Well, I've settled on Tesla. After reading some product descriptions and customer reviews on several different biographies on him, I've begun to understand how interesting a person he was, and also have decided on Prodigal Genius: The Life of Nikola Tesla. I was considering Che for a while, and I still intend to read about him at some point. One of my friends is probably going to read a bio of Che for the assignment.
