I think people who are attracted to feet might have different reasons for it. Some people seem to dig the idea of them being nasty... stinky and gross. But in reality, like any part of the human body, feet can be beautiful and sexy. So can elbows earlobes and kneecaps. But there's a social stigma associated with feet, so most people just immediately think "eww gross"and won't even begin to let themselves think of them as attractive at all. I used to feel the same way when I was younger - "Eww feet! That's gross!" But as an artist learning human anatomy, I learned that as I said, any part of the body can be amazingly attractive. Some feet are just extremely fapworthy! Plus the fact that there is such a strong social stigma around them assures that there will be a fetish. Wherever social conventions try to repress something it will rise as a perversion or fetish.

For the MOST part this is an open-minded and respectful community, but there are a few kids and adult kids who can make it difficult to open up and talk realistically.

I wasn't mocking anybody. I actually have a foot fetish, so if I was, I'd just be mocking myself. No need for anybody to take offense.
