Yes. Let's.
The difference is that you are a member of a site that has (quite purposefully) divided itself into different sections, for ease of use. One of the things that we mods do is move misplaced threads to the sections where they most reasonably belong - a task that, whether people choose to acknowledge it or not - can be quite tedious. No, members don't get to vote on whether or not they want a thread to go in an unrelated forum, just like they don't get to vote on having their own section of the forum (unless you buy one with points, in which you can get your own user forum).
Sure, it would be great if this site were a 'free country,' where people can do whatever the hell they wish, but it (just like most websites) is not. We (staff) volunteer our time to make sure a few key things get done a certain way, in order to preserve some sort of order and organization. After seeing many people come and go - who do things such as try to argue technicalities or semantics, in order to get their way, as you are doing now - we are pretty good about knowing where to place misplaced threads.
There is some level of common sense assumed; that people can read the forum introductions and know where to post certain threads. If you don't want to place your threads in the most reasonable areas (according to the forum guidelines), then that's fine with us. Like I said, part of our 'jobs' is to put them where they are supposed to be. We really don't expect there to be any reason for objection, though, when they are moved, because it's not like we are putting them in irrelevant spots, or trying to obscure them in any way. If you want to post a thread in Senseless Banter, make a Senseless post. If you want to post Poetry (that seems, at least to us, serious), then it's going to most likely be posted in the Artists' Corner.
I honestly don't understand why this is such an issue with you, unless you just enjoy arguing over trivialities.
