Not to me... When we say America here, we are thinking about the continent itself. If we are talking about the US, then we say US

We say North or South too, if we are talking about either of them. But when we just say America, then most people here mean the whole continent... and Canada is on that continent
That's all i meant to say

I know people over there mean the US by 'America'... and then i also see canadians being offended when i call them americans...

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I just hadn't heard someone use it that way before, and the different uses of the same names threw me off.

I didn't even know there's a difference. <- Asian

The problem is that there is no demonym (noun for the people from a country) for people from the US other than American. So there is no choice, really.

shit yeah, I did get caught in the rain. Trolled again by the English weather (turning into my catchphrase...)

and just the touristy parts... I walked from parliment to tower bridge along the river... I had a few hours to kill before my night train back to Durham. I just got back from a nice little Scandinavian vacation.

I doubt my geography classes cover America. Does it? I did so badly in it that I didn't choose to continue it any more so I took history instead.
