Anyone here use it? It's been out for a while now but I never really got a chance to check it out until just recently. I'm not big on Social Networking sites, I don't even use Facebook, but this seems kind of interesting.

No, there was a thread about this a while back but I couldn't find it. I just wanted to know if anyone here uses it, I'm thinking about giving it a try but I'm not sure if anybody I know is using Google+. .-.

Sure, I use it. It's a shame that most of my Danish friends have stayed on Facebook. G+ seems better in every way.

Google+ is like a wasteland compared to Facebook, even if people are realizing that Facebook is getting repetitive and boring (Well just the people who keep seeing "LMS if..." and all that other post-hormonal crap girls post about men).

It is better than both Twitter and Facebook, but (almost) nobody realises it. You can post to public (Twitter style) or private (Facebook style). You can 'follow' celebrities (although admittedly there aren't many), but the main difference is with responses to these posts. If someone famous tweets something, your reply usually is lost in all the others. On G+, you can have discussions in reply to a post. You can get lots of followers this way. To get started, try following some people, and you'll get the hang of it

Google+ is what you make of it, like any other site. Facebook was a wasteland the first 2 years I was registered there, because nobody outside the US actually used it. Problem with Google+ is that there isn't too much incentive to change. Well, actually there is, but people are just not seeing it.

I like Google+ mostly because I'm "abnormal" with facebook friends... (I have about 15% the amount of friends normal people have, and then people who I know but don't like will get pissed because I refuse to "add" them.... yada yada yada.) Anyways, you can add people as "Acquaintances" or "People I hate" and they will never know which list they are a part of! So I can appease them and ignore them. Pretty nice!

Facebook is trying to adopt that, too, with "subscriptions" and "lists" but no one seems to use them.

I believe Google has the ultimate goal of ruling the internet: end-game? Getting money. (They are already in the top 50 billionaires in the US.) They like money, especially money that you supply them by using their search engine and reading their advertisements! Hey, if they can get away with it, good for them! (Just like facebook and datamining.)

Very true, I registered on FB like two years before it became well known just to look at some celebrity thing or something lol
It just seemed like some obscure site.

I almost deleted my fb the other day though, well I did, but then I signed back in and it re-activated. So when I have more frequent contact with people
I think I'll delete it forever, and therefore won't use Google+ either.

I think it will get more popular though. They obviously did something right with Orkut. No reason they couldn't do it again for other places besides India lol

I keep deactivating my facebook then reactivating it a few weeks later. People seem to want me to activate it, even though no one talks to me on it. I haven't reactivated mine again since deactivating it about a week ago. I have a fake account (Arya Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire) from which I have over a hundred friends which are other people pretending to be characters... but I use the account primarily for 'stalking' people.

Yeah, she has a bunch of pics...and she wants me to vote for her in a contest. Totally not falling for this crap she/he is playing.

(But with my bad luck, she might actually be a private modeler...which means ...ugh nvm)
