I'll probably do the same my parents did, say santa exists and all that, but give them obvious clues that he doesn't.

i.e. on my 7th birthday my parents gave me a VCR/DVD player, and I got a T.V. from santa. I started to wonder, how did my parents know santa was bringing me a T.V.? So i asked, they said in an obviously sarcastic/lying way that santa told them. I didn't buy it, asked them a few more times and they just came out with it. From then on i just started to question everything

Besides, once my kid is old/smart enough to figure that out, they should know not to tell others
Have a question? Send me a pm.

Nah, does more harm than good.

I'm all for Decorations and even giving them gifts from Santa Claus but when they ask who he is I'll tell them the truth. He's an imaginary person who may or may not have lived that Parents collectively invented to keep their children obedient.

I also intend to tell them, as soon as they ask, that Jesus was an imaginary person who may or may not have lived that the government collectively invented to make people more obedient.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

That it absolutely absurd! Clearly it was aliens who invented the story to turn us in to a planet of peace-loving pacifists, so that we won't put up a fight when they come here in 2012 to annihilate the human race.

I'm on to them. The sneaky bastards.

All of the Poles and Germans I know celebrate it, too. Very common (and we have very few people with Dutch ancestry here.) They (Germans and Poles) must have adopted it.
