If you had a death note would you use it?

I asked this question of my friend, and he said that he'd use the deathnote. He'd employ the eyes of shinigami to zero in on people who're going to die soon and manipulate them to rob the rich. Just like Light contolled his victims. Killing without killing, done by a modern Robin Hood.

As for me, I'd keep the deathnote to myself, so that I could die a painless death if something happens to me, like loss of both legs or eyesight. Death note as means of euphtanasia.

I wonder if you could extend someones life with it. Like if you knew they were going to die, you write that they will die some other way like years later. I know he did some really delayed stuff but I can't recall if they really went into that.

On a side note, the show really does drag a little in the second half but then the ending is great.

I'd probably end up using it eventually. I would try to resist the temptation at first but at the end of the day there are just too many people I want to remove from the planet.

I would certainly use it. In real life there probably won't be any genius detectives like L that are also willing to risk their lives.

No, I guess I wouldn't. I don't think I could ever kill someone, be it directly or indirectly.

I would kill people like my grandmother. She always said "kill me if I go insane", and now she's got advanced Alzheimer. My country doesn't allow euthanasia and I can't afford taking her to other country (I heard some hospitals do it). She turned into an "empty shell", and I'm pretty sure if she could choose, she would end her life.

But yeah, I would use it primarily for that kind of people. I see no point killing "bad" guys since there's always someone else taking their place on way or another. Besides, who am I to judge those?
