What is this? Some people has this in their sigs but is this some sort of "Im holy cause I haven't tried it and here I am showing it off in my signature name on a forum that has nothing to do with it?"-thing? I haven't tried pot, but I don't have that siggy because I too find it braggy, and until we switched forums I didn't have enough siggy space, but I'm pretty sure it's true. The reason being that while yes, in high school it really is only 40% or 50% of people who try smoking pot, from what I hear, almost everyone else tries it in the first year of college because they're now suddenly out of home, and feel as if they can do whatever the hell they want without paying the price.

[/b] now there's a good argument against smoking pot! stay out of trouble, keep your money, and don't burn your lungs, those are probably the best three reasons to abstain. It's totally bragging, and in a way that doesn't make any sense to me at all. By saying that 98% of teens have tried it, and you don't, that sort of makes you a loser and a weirdo who doesn't do something that seems perfectly normal, considering the percentage of people who do it. A few years back, I heard a thing on NPR about how approximately 50% of college students admitted to having smoked pot at some time. So... where on earth is this 98% number coming from? Did they actually test a good group? I'd like to judge the study itself. I think the numbers were made up and it's just supposed to be a bragging thing about how "unique" you are. Give me a break. It's not all that unique to abstain from pot or anything else. If you want to make a club, go for it, but get the numbers from a reputable source before you go touting around your status as one of the elite non-smokers.

The whole idea about that sig line is the whole 'feeling special' thing. If someone sees that sig line they go 'Hey, I'm in this exclusive 2% of people, I must be special' and paste it. In fact, the vast majority of people have not smoked pot, and so this sig line continues to replicate. If indeed it were only 2% of people that would be able to put that truthfully in their sig, nobody would have it and the thing would've died ages ago. Instead, now more and more people incorporate it. It's annoying if you ask me.

And because I wanted to understand why and INDENIABLY because I wondered what the hell all the comotion around cocan=ine was I have tried it myself. 3 times. And 3 times does it. No more or I might get hooked on it like my Friend.
