Yes, I answered it seriously, and no, I didn't find my post arousing (if you did that's one of your weirdnesses, I suppose).

Okay, here we go:
>I am at least mildly allergic to almost every substance known to man
>I can crack every single joint in my body, which is not such a good thing b/c if I don't crack my joints, they are in constant discomfort
>I am deathly afraid of mice and maggots, I really don't know why
>I can also dislocate my shoulder and my thumb
>I am addicted to horror movies

Basically, I'm just really messed up

Dude. A penis doesn't mean arousal. Dude. Not at all. Nasty.

With the whole penis-metaphor I meant, that you seemed like you were bragging about your 'skills'.

Um, yeah. Sorry, then, if I made you jealous with my ability to smell pretty bad, feel sick, fold my ear into its repsective hole, inability to understand spoken word sometimes (although evidently I get there) and irrational anxiety/apathy in certain situations?

Yeah... although I really don't think anyone that majors in Econ actually likes it. It's more about utility than educational enlightenment. Hah.

I forgot to mention some:

- I don't get hurt easily, there are times when I trip badly and twist something in a really bad way but I just walk it off. Never broken anything.
- I've been allergic to the following fruits for the past few years (I'm not kidding): Apples, pears, peaches, and the like. But I can eat bananas, grapes, watermelon, pineapple. The funny thing is that I wasn't allergic when I was a kid.

Faces

I can't recognize faces for crap. If I know you well or if you have a very distinctive face, then I can remember you, but 70% of the people in my school are just faceless to me.

I'm also not very good with names, either.

But seriously, that kind of blows. On the other hand, it kind of proves how relative what we all see it. It isn't 'Normal' we are That good at distinguishing faces. Blabla brain-psycology-blabla-donkeys-recognize-donkeys.

My oddities include...

Being obsessed with a certain subject once I start it... Because of this, at one sitting I finished my whole math book for the 8th grade.

If I'm awake in my house, when every one else is asleep, I get extremely paranoid.

I also suffer from a horrible fear of wasp, and/or bees of any kind, if I see one, no matter how far away it may be, I start freaking out.

Man, after reading that, I realize I may just be the weirdest person I know...

I can totally relate to that! Once I take a serious interest in something.. I kinda lose my mind (which is why I can honestly say that I own almost every book/CD/cassette/DVD and gadget associated with lucid dreaming)!

Other oddities:

* I am horrible with names! I recognize faces instantly but if I don't have to interact with you on a DAILY basis.. it is almost impossible for me to recall your name. It took me weeks to remember the names of people I work with when I changed departments and there are guys that I've ballroom danced with for MONTHS and I'm just too embarassed at this point to ask.. What was your name again?

* My hands and nose stay cold.. it sometimes gets to the point where my fingertips turn white and hurt til they warm up again.

* I can recall the lyrics of songs that I heard years ago (whether I liked them or not).

* I did (and still do) suck at math.. I just don't get it.

Well,

- I converse with myself in my head. sometimes, when I'm really tired, I have conversations with people I know in there, imagining how they might respond.
- I have really shit hearing - when people talk to me I often have to ask them to repeat it (more than once) and sometimes just give up. BUT, Ihave very acute hearing and can pick up small details in music, for example.
- I go blue and gray in the cold. That or I turn into a mirror and reflect the sky. Who knows.
- I hold a special place in my heart for reversed music and really creepy music
- I have used number stations to relax.
- I can sing and know when I'm out of tune. I know when music is out of tune. But when I hear others sing I often can't tell whether or not they're in-tune.

*shrug*

Wow, I'm surprised at how far this topic got. I recently discovered I could click my knuckes just by making a fist, hours of entertainment and one very annoying habit for others beckon. I too can wiggle my ears and make ONE eye go cross eyed (it's really easy. When you cross your eyes just look at one of the images that form). I can burp at will. I have practically no common sense yet am one of the smartest in my year. I'm not kidding how many people can put their hand up and say that they managed to chop open their finger with an axe, WHILST trying to chop firewood. it just does not happen, unless you're me. (pictures of my gashed open finger will be posted ).

most of the time, i don't understand what the fuck people are saying when they talk to me.
but maybe for me it's the area where i live?

i can't think of many weird things about me right off. i guess i have a pretty vivid imagination, every now and then i suddenly (unintentionally) imagine something intensely painful and toturous and it keeps popping up in my mind throughout the day. like the last one was the tips of my fingers being cut off...the strength of it varies but sometimes it's so vivid it makes me squirm and twitch and sometimes dig my nails into my skin. that's the only thing i can think of at the moment, i don't know if it's weird or what.

oh, i have synesthesia, although it's the most common form. i see a different colour for every letter and number. kaniaz helped me discover it, i never really realized it until he brought up the subject.

nice thread btw

You're probably going to get scary joint diseases. Oh well, so am I - I can do the same, and I'm sorta addicted to it (not in the sense that I need it, but it's become a habit in the sense of that I can't stop). NASTY habit, that is.
