Ever had a great plot idea for a book/video game/movie?

I've had some really good idea's for storys if I was ever going to write a book/movie, or make a video game, I thought we could share some great plot idea's that we have thought of in the past, but never had writing skills or time to write it ofcourse, and maybe we could suggest certain films or books or whatever that are close to the story of someones ideas here.

Ok I always though it'd be cool to have a book/movie about lucid dreaming ofcourse, I mean I don't know of any plot that are soley about it, I mean the main character builds apon his skill throughout the story starting as a newb and learns how to have lds on command.

There could be a game with a similer plot but not cartoonish or anything like with some third person shooting in it, and other cool abilitys, like the super hero video games but it's based on lucid dreams where each level is a diffrent dream, and the main hub is the persons room, I knew a video game like it, but it was really sucky game play and I wanted the game play to be waaay diffrent from that, like spiderman video game style (only super hero game i recall playing) spider man 2 controls where awesome. aslo I'd love a point and click game based on lucid dreams that would be awesome, probably a game that could be created online, but not as cool as one I'm thinking of.

Also Online play would be awesome, you could have a "shared dream" and do co-op play, or battle.

Another good story line could be about a kid who has OBE's with similer experiences, going to diffrent demensions and stuff, very weird and trippy.

and the thought that game me the idea aobut this thread is a kid that learns he lives in a subjective reality where he is the only conscious being and everyone around him is a part of him, and once he figures it out he finds a way to control it, but come to think of it it would offer not enough drama as the main character would live out his normal life for awhile into the beginning of the story, but he gets paranoid about it later on, and I stil ldon't know how he would come to realise it.

      for FPS's:

I'd like a game in which the plot was a mutagenic compound which transformed docile herbivores into violent predators. Now obviously for it to make any sense it would have to have some kind of extraterrestrial origin or experiment since mutations can't phsyically sayadd spines in one generation, especially not while one is still alive. But we'd get around that, most zombie films do.

SO basically a shooter were any animals( humans included) and maybe even plants( giant man eating trees, lol) were mutated into spiny nasty looking monsters. But the plot would focus on you the player and random others who for what ever reason have not been infected, where as the large majority of huamns have been. Then the game or games would involve searching for answers while trying to survive. Probably aliens involved although some like of genetic experiments would do.

Basically i love the enemies to be as vile as possible, limb hanging off by exposed flesh where huge spikes have jutted out of the muscles, etc.
Lugggs and cuddles and hugs for all!!

This is where the current gameplay falls short. The onyl way this game could reach its full potential is if your thoughts controlled the game, allowing absolutely anythign to happen.
In an ordinary point-click game, there woudl ahve to be a limit to the amoutn of htings you can do, coupeld with the ungainly gameplay, it jus wouldnt be good.

      UK Ltd.

My mum told me about her idea for a novel once.
Not really a plot, but a general theme
It centres on the ultimate conclusion of capitalism

      Companies grow and expand
      swallowing up smaller competitors
and reaching out to new fields
in the end, you have a single corporate entity that governs the workings of an entire country

"UK Ltd, how may I direct your call...."

I didn't attend on that plot to be a video game more of a book or maybe a movie, the plot would suck if it where a video game.

I've always liked the idea of a Romance movie filmed in the style of Horror, without any Horror-monster-type things whatsoever. You know, like dark, creepy music, quick cuts, zooming in very far. Stuff like that.

A video game based on German Expressionism would be grand. Or a game filled with psychadelic imagery. How about a game where you start off as a normal man, build up a following, overthrow the government, then take over the world?

How about a game where you resolve larger and larger conflicts nonviolently, until you establish world peace? It could be a First Person Talker. Or an MMORPG--World of Peacecraft.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I strongly suspect it would have a multitude of minigames to achieve this.

How to solve the US-Iraq War? Tetris!

Would be cool if its like that Pheonix Wright game, except you're a negotiator.

O.K., my truck weighs in at 6,200 lbs, right? And has a towing capacity of 7,100 lbs, right? That's a combined total of 13,300 lbs. But the gross combined vehicle towing weight limit is 11,800 lbs! So what's the point of making the vehicle so that it can tow 7,100 lbs if you can't actually tow 7,100 lbs without exceeding the GCVW limit? I don't get it. How much can I tow?

Ok I have a really good one, well two actually now that I think about it.

First one is similer to death note, where the main character can control people based on what they wish/write it was actually based on a dream I had, where I wrote down stuff on a rubber ball and the people I wrote to do stuff did it, I think I was told code gaess an anime has a similer plot, but I am not big into future animes, since it takes place in the far future.

Another great one I had is about shared dreaming, the story could fit alot of events and plot twists because think how many cool things a person can do who can share dreams with people, but yeah the main character is a miss fit high school student who everyone picks on and stuff and they gain the ability then everyone wants them to be their friend to make them dream of their fantasies. Then the government wants their assistence and everything and the main character has to put up with massive amounts of media exposure.

Back when i was in scouts my dad made this game up with his imagination when it was stormy and all of us were inside from the rain/wind. You start with loin cloths only, it's a colors game so as you advance through the stages you get new colors and more clothes, and weapons and better and better weapons.

I guess it would be RTS.
Anyway you start with a loin cloth and make up scenerios in your head on what is happening and if your imagination is good enough like his was/is then you can make different people going other ways in this game, you go on missions and the world is comtrolled by a computer, you face monsters like big beasts (like wolves that are hungry for flesh) that want to eat you, or you do things like traps...if you are in a big coridor and touch a panel on the floor you get killed and you're out untill next round. He made a guy called "i'm new" and when he died he was "i'm newer", when he died again "i'm newest", since we didn't care for a name really...he is just created by the computer. Anyway you go in jungle missions, on underwater dome missions, on dessert missions, forest missions, etc. Run into wolves, bears, weapons made by the robot to kill you so you don't rank. Oh and when you die you decrease in rank so you gotta be smart to get to the best, although i loved killing everyone. I remember 1 time when we hid inside a small room from a big wolf looking to eat us and i opened the door and yelled FRESH MEAT!!!!!! and we all died, i laughed so hard
it brought tears to my eyes, missions are all created by the person telling the story. I loved this 1 desert mission where there was a city, i swear my visualization for this 1 mission was AWESOME, it was like i was really there....anyway something like this would make a killer video game. DON'T DIE or you go down in rank, if you're the lowest rank and die you lose the loin cloth i guess, although he always let them keep it, but you died so lose something. Everyone loved the game, i miss it still....best imagination game ever created.

You ask "What's the point of making the vehicle so that it can tow 7,100 lbs..." but I'm not sure the vehicle is actually designed to.
Who said that the gross combined vehicle towing weight limit is 11,800 lbs? If it was the manufacturer, I would have written them.
