Geez, what a coincidence! Yes, I actually just started using it (japanese), and I must say it does wonders! I love this program!

I really recommend it to anyone who'd want to learn a new language.

Podría mostrarnos como funciona el programa?

Y disculpame si lo hablo al español muy básico para tu persona ^^

PS: My spanish sucks and I know it. I tried, nevertheless ^^
Haha. Well, at least I understood about 60% of that.

I think the program is pretty good, from what I've seen. I'm only a small fraction of the way through it and, even though I'm going over a lot of the basics that I already know, the way it teaches by association looks to be a really effective way. I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't been sitting down with it for too long, but I'll let you know what I think about it, as I go forward.

Nice! I'd really like to check out the Japanese program, once I get down with the Spanish.

Haha. Nah, not yet. Been pretty busy so I've only been using the program sporadically. Having started from the beginning, I'm still going over a lot of the most basic stuff - most of which I'm already familiar with.

      I'm getting there, though!

LOL. Yeah, I can imagine that.
Rosetta is a lot better than other language programs I've found. Most of the time, I'll work on it for awhile and then stop for extended periods of time. With cd's, I tend to feel like I have to start all over again and then never get past the first lesson. Rosetta has a section at the end of every lesson that combines all of the sections, and it allows me to just do this overview lesson as a refresher before moving on to new material.

The ability to happily respond to any adversity is the divine.

      You'll have to either...

      1) Burn your...copies on a CD, then startup Rosetta. It'll automatically detect the CD
      2) Create a Virtual Drive using Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%, and load up the iso files (I'm asuming you made .iso files of your perfectly legally bought CDs), and thén load Rosetta.

My spanish teacher has given up trying to teach spanish, so one class has to use rosetta stone for 40 minutes a day instead of actually having class... Its sad.

Think that's bad? My French teacher was fired because she stole money from kids. I don't think they're going to have French at all next year. She was a bad teacher anyway, didn't teach the language and concentrated on French history to make it "easier" on the students. (Exact words) She wasn't even near to being fluent anyway..

Oh well, I'm transferring schools, but still the time of two years wasted with her.

Yea, but this was in school, and without any supervision, she just turned it on and left the room.

Uhm, Delphinus... we watched "the House of Spirits" in my class. There is rape (nudity), prostitutes, tons of nudity. Big deal. Unless you are like 12 I think you can handle it .

We could all handle it, in fact we all laughed about it, Its just the lack of caring from my teachers makes me feel happy inside.

Yeah once I wanted to play an exctract from Clockwork Orange in my school that had NOTHING to it, but they didn't allow me saying it would inspire people to watch the whole film. SO WHAT, MOTHERFUCKERS?

Never put your son on a catholic (or any other religious) school.

Now back to the topic of this thread...

My Latin teacher got fed up with our school district last year and took off. Now, we're taught Latin by the French teacher who knows very little to nothing about Latin.

We never do anything at all. Many times, she's not there and we just go without a teacher. When she is there, we watch youtube videos of comedians or watch a movie every now and then. We've chicken fought many times in class (I've only been beat once!). She also brought a classical guitar in and leaves it there, so I play that many days.

Just last week, I ordered 7 pizzas in the middle of my 4th period class and she went and picked them up for our class in 6th period.

When Barrack Obama came to our city on his campaign, some of his entourage stayed at her house.

There's always paper airplane and paper ball fights.

For our only project that we've had, I was assigned to do something about Zeus' lovers. I had a puppet show where most of it was just the puppets humping each other. A jury of students graded them, so I got a 100.

There's lots of stuff that's great about that class.

When I read that bit, I instantly thought of A Clockwork Orange. That's one of my favorite movies.

I bet I can get my Latin teacher to play it. I'll try.

And in on-topic news, I finally installed my "legal " Rosetta Stone with Spanish on it. I'll start learning it once I get a damned headset.
