I take it seriously, because I'm apart of those "females in uniforn" as you like to call them. We do all kinds of things that are important to the community, that help aid the environment, and so on. Things that could be affecting some of the stuff you do or see in you everyday life. Every little thing we do adds up. You may know it or not but there are A LOT of us not just here, but all over the world. If you don't respect where I stand on this issue, and have nothing else of importance or value to add to this topic, I kindly suggest you butt out and let someone else that actually cares about us and what we do speak.

I have something improtant to add: What the hell do they do that doesn't involve taking my money or blocking up my roads?

I agree that jail time is too harsh. Bikes are stolen all the time from young kids but no one cares. But when a girl is standing with 150$ it is suddenly a hideous crime.

And how do you bust your butts selling those cookies? Everyone loves them, they sell themselves. It is like selling crack on a street corner, the people can't get enough of them. Plus no one can say no to a little girl even if they don't want the cookies.

It ends happily, that is why we can joke about it. Everyone now knows those girls stole from a 9 year old because you can easily see their face. Plus the girl scout is now making BANK off of these news people and all the added media.

Seriously, it's $150 dollars. That's petty theft. It doesn't matter whether it's stolen from a 3 month old, a nine year old, or a 90 year old. Law is black and white, there is no moral space.

Well, I guess that's true. But something like a misdemeanor such as Petty Theft, shouldn't have grey space. It's stealing, it's not a morality quiz.

No the law is not black and white. If a robbery is motivated by religious/racial or sexual intolerance, or against a vulnerable person, it can receive a harsher sentence. These are known as "aggravating factors".
