hrm. well, we were all n00bs at one point. anyway, if we are ever to rival "Gaia Online" (http://ian.go-gaia.com/forum/index.php) (the biggest known phpBB board) then we need a whole lot more new people!

P.S. I've heard Gaia Online receives something like...50 000 new posts a day. I haven't confirmed that though. I do however know they usually have like 3000 users ONLINE AT A TIME! holy crap. we need more people.

When I was closing all my windows I noticed I still had Gaia Online's window open, so I thought I'd refresh it just to see the increase in users and posts over 17 minutes. I find this rather staggering:

2:22 stats:

159 723 users;
9 997 160 posts.

2:39 stats:

159 752 users;
9 999 580 posts.

That's an increase of 29 users and 2 420 posts in 17 minutes! We can't really assume we can use those numbers as the basis for an average, but if I did, that's about 2 456 new users and 204 988 posts per day! Holy guacamole! Obviously that's just too many, but it would be neat if we could get maybe 500 or so posts per day. Maybe someday.


BTW: in the time it took for me to write this they exceeded 10 million posts.

number of words would be a little better
but neither have anything to do with EXPERIENCE

I agree, its shitty ranks are based on post rate, but a pity, the forum cant read your experience or skill..
