Thread: What do you do?

In this thread: We post out education/job/profession/specialization/money source.

Note: You still go to school, you post your plans for after school.

Goal: Thread goes to Dream Views Favorites.

Me: I'm a second semester student in biochemistry and molecular biology but it was a shit choice, so I will switch to something different. Probably linguistics/philosophy/psychology/philology. Possibly cognitive science.

What do you do?

At the moment, I learn. I shall be a mechanical engineer because I <3 math and science. And building things. I've got a picture of a robot made of legos from when I was a little kid. I can get a lot of jobs with that major, too.

Right now I waitress. It gets money, and despite my introverted life, I'm quite good at small talk, jokes, etc.

I used to teach Spanish as a volunteer. The kids freakin' loved me, and everyone said I should become a teacher. But that's not my dream...

I'm doing A level Art, English, Philosophy and Religious Studies.


I'll be taking philosophy/religious studies in university.

I teach robotics. Pst, I know nothing about robotics

I'm a waiter and have just finished school.

Student, plan to major in marketing.

I'm in school, I have no idea what I want to do when I get out. I wish I could do everything.

I am going to be a bio major. But for the next 2 months, I will be a CPR instructor, and after all the training, I have my first class in 13 hours and 32 minutes.

Cool, I played with the idea of becoming an interpreter/translator for a while but I figure it could be too much work considering I only know 1 foreign language as of now. Also, it's possibly a bit monotonous over the years. Germany has the world's largest university institute for translation studies which would be a big + for becoming an interpreter.
I hope perhaps one day I could get into field linguistics and document and protect endangered languages around the world.

Me, I am a Business Analyst / Business Project Manager

I have A-Levels in Spanish, Maths, Information Technology and Business Studies. A Diploma in Business Analysis, I'm PRINCE2 qualified (PRojects IN a Controlled Environment; required for project managers), a cirtificate in Financial Planning (requirement for financial advisers), Just starting an open university course in German. I think that is about it.

I just graduated high school, and I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Lets see, I test software, but im really looking for a more, um..fun and better paying job with benefits, I'm planning to move out eventually on my own, that'll be the day I start being happier lol.
