Do free online offers really work?

Common sense tells me people wouldn't give free ipods away. There's always a bunch of offers you need to complete and people to refer to, so I actually never done it.

Talk to Elis D. he routinely fills out online surveys and they pay him cash to do so (which he consistently receives).
Things are not as they seem

It is true you can recive things with a site such as http://www.prizerebel.com/. I myself have gotten a free 1 month runescape membership from it.

When you click on most ads basically they get as much info from you as possible so they can sell it, and make you make payments and buy other crap.

I would try it, but I'm afraid of giving away personal info... just not a pleasant thought

Yeah ads like that are all bullshit. Anything that claims you get anything for nothing is a scam.

I do those surveys that Jeff was talking about, but it's not really very great.
20-35 minute surveys get me from 50 cents to 3 dollars. Occasionally I'll luck out and get a 5 or 8 dollar survey, but the time is exponentially increased(and hour or so and they're usually multiple parts).

      I don't have a job so it's the best I can do.

I'll sit and watch a movie while working on 3-4 surveys at a time, as I get really bored with them quickly.

But those "click and win" things are bull.

If they actually do give you something it's insubstantial(like a month long Runescape membership... ZING!) but they acquire so much of your information it's potentially dangerous. Plus unless you make a separate email account you'll get spammed til you abandon your email and have to get a new one.

No, web browsers block things like spyware from automatically downloading onto your computer so they needed to find a way to get you to approve of it, by clicking on something. They use ads for that. Click on the ad, get spyware.

yeah, my dumb-ass actually gave these kinda scams a shot at some point, lol

one that I think might have been real was getting a free Wii on facebook, but you had to get like 20-30 to go through the trouble of also signing up for a blockbuster/netflix trial.....I'm not exactly salesman material, so it didn't happen, lol

      damn pyramid schemes
naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally
