Crazy bitch. She tells the dog to attack a fucking policeman, and then she whines about getting arrested.

For all of those who don't know, a pit bull is bred to fight. They are used to fight and subdue 2-3 ton bulls by latching onto their nose and hanging on for dear life while being thrown around by said bull. If you've ever had to handle a bull, you would realize why you would need such vicious dog. Never underestimate what a pit bull can do if it has reason.

Not all pit bulls are vicious, though. If treated with respect and properly trained, they are some of the most loving, docile dogs in the world. But if they are trained as guard dogs, fighters, or bull herders, they can be fearless, ferocious, and downright scary to be around. Since this piece of white trash trained her dog to attack intruders, it's not surprising that an animal control officer would have a hell of a time with it. As such, there should be some legislation requiring that all pit bulls are registered, but not banned. (If you had specific anti-breed legislation, you'd piss a lot of people off.)

Yes, the dog got destroyed. I don't know for a fact but I am 99.9% sure it did, especially for it's breed. This is simple protocal, the dog is already a liability.

It is so sad how American Stafforshire Terriers (Pit Bulls) have come from being an American War Hero "Sgt. Stubby" (http://www.pitbullregistry.com/Pit%20Bull%20History.htm scroll half way down to see more on him...) to the "devil dog".

Humans have selectivly bred these dogs to get the "best" fighting dog and this is why so many are so aggressive. Funny, how we created the problem and our solution to deal with it is to ban pits and several other breeds or simply "destroy" them. In my state there is a huge list of breeds not allowed in certain counties. None of these breeds or mix of (this includes, huskies, german shepherds...) are even allowed in apartment complex.

This is such a hot button for me, even if all the "fighting" dogs in the world were gone, humans would make labs, poodles, great danes, st bernards etc aggressive and train to fight, its not that hard. I think temperment tests should be required for every "at risk" breed because there are oh so many loveable pitts who get all the wrath and oh too many annoying aggressive ankle biting little shits who don't get any bad rep at all

Once the dog has been trained to attack people, it's not gonna stop doing it. Even though it was the owners fault it turned out like that, the dog is spoiled. It's not safe, and therefore it pretty much has to be put down.

Also, they said she only got 6 months. That's way to little.

I feel sorry for that dog, it's going to get destroyed and it has no idea that it will die. I also feel sorry for the little girl who was attacked. That fat hump back bitch needs to be locked up for a long time.

I agree, they should destroy the people, not the animals. Those dogs get the shaft REALLY bad.

That's sickening. People like her are the reason pit bulls have such a bad rep. It also makes me sick how people think pit bulls are naturally more vicious and persisent. Most dogs of ANY breed, even if they attacked first, won't give up just because someone kicked them. I can't even walk my dog at the beach because of the stigma these dogs have. I took my dog (a pit bull, weighs 75 pounds) to the beach a few weeks ago, and he was on a leash just like the DOZENS of other dogs, and they told me to leave. Apparently pit bulls are banned there. It's bull. That's like banning a certain race of people just because they have the potential to be deadly. When will we learn? Pit bulls aren't even the absolute best fighters in the dog world.

I've owned pit bulls my entire life. None of my pits have EVER bitten anyone or another animal unprovoked. You should see the pit I have now, he's such a baby. Yet people still jump in fear when he comes to lick them wagging his tail. The only time my dog will even GROWL at someone is if I'm not there with him, or they knock on the door. You should see it, when someone comes in, he always gives me this look. It's like he's making sure I know them.

Also, contrary to what you may have heard, pit bulls were not bred for fighting. Pit bulls were bred a long time ago to protect children and houses and such. Hence why they're so naturally kind to kids. Unless of course you're like the person in that video.

Sorry for the rant but I just can't stand dog-racism. Pits are not naturally vicious towards humans. I couldn't say the same for your little chihuahuas and dotsons (sp?). They're the ones who should be feared.

I just really hate negligent pet owners like this. Whether it be the morons who buy exotic animals on a whim without doing any research and believeing anything the breeder tells them, or the puppy mill owner who doesn't give a damn, or this horrible woman. And whats worse, shes allowing an already media-tormented breed more time in the spotlight as a killer. I feel so sorry for pits. Their only as evil as their raised, and thats the truth.

      *Dachshund

And I have kept dachshunds for most of my life, and I'll just clear up that they are generally very nice dogs, but you may get one with a bad attitide here and there, just like any other breed.

Watched it again. I don't know why I was so pissed at the officer, but I'm guessing it had something to do with her choosing to be an animal control officer in the first place. I take back what I said about not having any sympathy for her.

I don't think the owner made it attack anybody. The dog just ran out the door and attacked the strangers.

Over the years, certain breeds of dogs have been carefully bred to bring out aggressive traits (for it's role as a working dog, or to guard etc).
I don't recall where I heard this, but I was told that pit bulls (and/or breed like rot) are trained to be vicious, but to be completely submissive to people. When people have to break up a dog fight (or clean up after it) they don't want to lose an arm, so through selective breeding, certain traits became customary to the breed after a while.

It's the people who warp the animals though With proper love and training they're wonderful animals.

My brother lives in Pensacola, Florida. He had to find another place to live but no where would allow pets. He refused to take Buddy (the pit bull) to the pound or a shelter because he was told they kill certain breeds without hesitation or exception. It might pass a temperment check or seem lovable but there's no telling what abuse or stock it came from and the state doesn't want to take the risk.

I agree that ankle biters are by far scarier than pits and rots lol. They're so nervous and high strung. I've been bit by several small dogs but never by a bigger one.

I walk up to any dog and try and pet it, it's pretty easy to walk in with no fear. Just walk to the dog, that simple. The only time i back away is if i hear a growl, which means "get back".

Cool, Michael! I lived there from the ages of about 10-23. My mom, [step]dad and brother still live there. We lived on NAS for a few years then off base. I went to EHS and PHS

I can't walk up to random dogs if they're loose in a yard or on their leash with their owner- unless they invite me with a goofy "grin", the wag of their tail, or other friendly gestures. I think it's rude to do otherwise lol Unless I'm in the Ministry. If there's an antsy dog at a house we have to visit, I'll sometimes distract it with sweet talk so my partner wont get bit.

I feel soooo bad for that dog, and I would honestly spend the rest of my life in jail if it meant I got to absolutely destroy that woman...
