That is true, and I would find it hard to believe that she would agree to that happening during her first award winning ceremony thing (at least I think it was her first, I don't quite follow Taylor Swift's career).

I wish I could say that I'm surprised by this, but I lost respect for Kanye a long time ago. Granted, the guy can make "good" music, but on a personal level, he's apparently a douchebag. This isn't the first time he's interrupted an award-reception with his commentary, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Hmm...tbh, I rather enjoyed watching that when it aired live. I strongly think the government mishandled Katrina. Their first mistake was that they doddled after it hit for whatever reason. Anyway, not getting into that xD.

Hah. Myers was just like "WTF?".

But yeah. Kanye is a douche of the grandest proportions. I mean, he has to be pretty fucked up in the head not to realize that his public proclamations that his music is superior to everyone else's are doing nothing but harm his record sales.

It'd be like if Metallica came out and said "You know what, we take that back. We don't really believe that downloading our music for free is okay. Excuse us while we search for IP addresses to sue the pants off of everyone who's ever downloaded our songs." They'd lose half their fanbase like they did during the Napster fiasco. They're not stupid enough to let history repeat itself, so they keep quiet about all that. Now, their record sales are as strong as ever.

Kanye, on the other hand, being a guy who loves the sound of his own voice - almost as much as he loves himself - simply can't help himself. He just HAS to let the world know how much better he is than everybody else.

I think it's safe to say he deserves to be rated #1 on the list of "Top 10 Morons of the Music Industry". Yes, even higher than Britney Spears.
