sure it's a lucid dreaming forum, but most of the regulars are at least as active in the off-topic.

Not saying that's a problem. That's what makes this a community. If we just talked about lucid dreaming, we'd all get bored and leave in no time.

yea, plus these fill up faster than on topic, so it just makes sense that we would post more. Heck, I have more posts in the 10k thread alone than off-topic.

I don't know because I am new here. Could it be because dreams are very difficult to understand, but movies and video games are very easy?

Well it's really a lucid dreaming forum, but like we've been saying: just because people aren't commenting doesn't mean people aren't reading.

Firstly, because lucid dreaming can get very boring, very quickly.

Secondly, because without the off-topic community, there would barely be enough site traffic to generate enough revenue to keep DV going, if that.

Thirdly, why? Off-topic does a marvelous job of allowing people who already know each other on some level to shoot the breeze about nothing in particular in a comfortable environment, while simultaneously generating site traffic and revenue. DV is much more than a dreaming site; it is a community. The community holds DV together. Without it, the site would probably dwindle and die. Furthermore, moving to a separate forum is way too much work. I would rather have one, all-inclusive forum than two or more split forums. That's just too much work and too many sites to check.

If all you want is a lucid dreaming forum, check out Mortal Mist. I caution you, though; it is likely to get boring, and fast. Really, there is only so much a person can talk about on the subject of lucid dreaming.

I have a dream journal!

But to be honest, I don't mind if people don't comment in it. If I need a question answered, I'll pm a dream guide I know can answer it for me.

I actually keep 4 dream journals going. I have a physical one by my bed (mostly ignored), a word doc one (the most up to date and thorough one), a Banhurt one (for posting and statistics - has the same entries as the word doc) and the one on DV, which doesn't have everything, just because some dreams I would rather not share.
