By bewildered you mean were awesome impressed by.

He was an alien war machine (maybes) that just wanted to help people like Superman.

      Heart warming everywhere.

Ah, I think I remember it slightly better now. That rings a bell. But I don't think I noticed that when I saw the movie. And didn't he like have that possibility of having survived in the end? Like one of his parts moved?

How in the hell does Mulan have anything to do with Avatar?? I see no similarities whatsoever.

May be interesting if the internet destroys the film industry.
I'm averaging about 700kb/s on a very legal movie right now, though I always prefer the cinemas I often cba to get out of bed.

I prefer 2d animation over 3d cgi tbh. The last I've -somewhat- enjoyed would be Treasure Planet. Doesn't compare to the classics though.

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

Actually they've re-opened the traditional animation department. But you do know that Treasure Island and Brother Bear were CGI, right? Not the usual 3d type CG, but still computer generated. Those movies were made AFTER they threw out the animation desks.

Yeah, they were probably just flattened renderings. Even in one of the simplest programs around (Animation Master) it's easy to squash a 3d movie to look like a cartoon.

Yeah, but it still looked nice. Like a Disney cartoon. Well, mostly. Though, I didn't know, no.

But they've got to get the right look.

There isn't much work to do after the 3d squashing. It adds outlines and everything.

FAIL @ *MULAN = AVATAR* REFERENCE

You were thinking of pocahontas you fool.... Mulan's storyline has no similarities to Avatar.

Avatar however isvery similar to Pocahontas... and Dances With Wolves...

But Pocahontas and Avatar were written at the same time, so neither influenced the other. Avatar was written in 94, and Pocahontas came out late 95...

Dances with Wolves came out in 1990 though... so perhaps both were inspired by Dances with Wolves...

      Anyways... back to the point...
You're wrong... maybe you should re-watch Avatar, Mulan, or both...

You are way to young if you have nostalgia over mulan, which is only like a ten year old movie, that still plays on tv fairly regularly. Mulan 2, is only a 5 year old movie.

The Road to Eldorado is also only a 10 year old movie. Lion king came out 15 years ago. The Rescuers Down Under came out 20 years ago, and now that is an old movie.

I guess it is all relative, and also depends on when you first saw it. I never saw any of them in the movie theater and I didn't buy any on tape. I saw every movie mentioned in this thread on tv the first time(except avatar). So for me, I saw mulan for the first time about 3 years ago, mulan 2 the first time a year or so ago, road to eldorado about 2 or 3 years ago.

Now movies like resuers down under and lion king, yea I saw them a long time ago. The newer onces kind of snuck out, and if I saw them I only saw them when they came out on tv. And really they seem way to new to be called classics and stuff.

Well yeah, I wouldn't really call Mulan a classic. And I just remember liking Road to Eldorado as a kid. I know it won't be considered classic, but it was still a childhood memory for me. And both were decent, if not just good, movies.

And as for Mulan 2, Damn the sequels! Full speed ahead!
