Ancient Astronaut Cave Paintings found in India?

A group of anthropologists working with hill tribes in a remote area of India have made a startling discovery: Intricate prehistoric cave paintings depicting aliens and UFO type craft. The images were found in the Hoshangabad district of the state of Madhya Pradesh only 70 kilometers from the local administrative centre of Raisen. The caves are hidden deep within dense jungle. A clear image of what might be an alien or ET in a space suit can be seen in one cave painting along with a classical flying saucer shaped UFO that appears to be either beaming something down or beaming something up, in what might be an ancient UFO abduction scenario. A force-field or trail of some sort is seen at the rear of the UFO. Also visible is another object that might depict a wormhole, explaining how aliens were able to reach Earth. This image may lead UFO enthusiasts to conclude that the images might have been drawn with the involvement of aliens themselves. Local Archaeologist, Mr Wasim Khan, has personally seen the images. He claims that the objects and creatures seen in them are totally anomalous and out of character when compared to other, already discovered, examples of prehistoric cave art depicting ancient life in the area. As such he believes that they might suggest beings from other planets have been interacting with humans since prehistoric times: Adding weight to the ’ancient astronaut theory’ which postulates that human civilization was established with the assistance of benevolent space-faring aliens. So when UFOs were commonly depicted in fiction as flying saucers in the mid twentieth century, people reported seeing flying saucers, as flying saucers fell out of fashion in fiction so too did sightings of UFOs matching their description fall. Realistically, if someone is looking at an alien space craft, it is probably going to look like nothing they have ever seen before. It seems only natural to approximate using cultural symbology when you just don't know what it is you are looking at.

I think people are roughly capable of discerning simple shapes in the sky, no matter how little they may know about them.

Just because the fictional depictions of UFO's and the alleged first-hand accounts coincide with one another does not mean that the fiction is what begot the public sightings. It could very well be the other way around. Just saying. It's something else to think about.

I really hope that 10,000 years from now no one looks back at our current drawings and assumes they are all of something we saw. They would develop a very warped, very disturbing image of our reality.

I remember seeing some rock paintings by Aboroginal Australians on some site before. They were of men in weird clothes, with "sticks of silver" (guns) and sailing boats. It turns out, upon contact with the Europeans they drew what they saw. I'm not saying these are aliens or anything. Just food for thought.

It is interesting that a lot of reports of UFO encounters and alien encounters parallel encounters with Faeries and Elves in the old days. The whole changeling thing where the faerie takes your baby and leaves and alien baby. The abduction by elves who have large almond shaped eyes and no emotions and the difference in subjective and objective time. Faeries flying in the sky and abducting people, etc... Very interesting.
