Xbox360 3 Red Lights

Damn, i've had my xbox360 for like 2 years now all fine up until i got the 3 red lights recently.

I know i probally can send this to someone to fix, but i hear they made the warranty from 2 years to 3 years. And that you can get a full refund.

I paid 400 dollars for my xbox 360..when it first came out, i can get my money back then just buy another xbox360 for like 150.

I still have receipt, how do i return xbox360 to get my 400 bucks back.

If you have 3 red lights, at one point so many Xboxs were having this problem, that every Xbox with a hardware problem(3 lights) has gotten an extended warranty. I believe that because of this extended warranty you are valid for a repair. I would recommed you file for a repair and send it in to Microsoft. I heard that if you have a light problem they send you a whole new Xbox with some sort of compensation(often Xbox live). Often these new Xboxs are tested vigorously to make sure that they will not break, or if you are lucky like my friend was, you will get one of the Xboxs that Microsoft plays on with a special faceplate and stuff. Anyway, just go to xbox.com, go to the repair section and fill out a repair. I am pretty sure that this way you get the most out of this situation and they often return your 360 within 14-21 days, and they provide a way to track it online. Choice is yours, this is just my suggestion. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure the warranty only covers repairs, but most likely you will get a new xbox instead of them fixing it, minus the extra 250 bucks which I'm assuming you wanted.

I got the 3 red rings and none of the above worked. Go figure I get error 0102 for hardward failure. Hope it works better for some of you guys.Love the 360 when hooked up to a flat screen and media centre PC and remote.

No, you wont get you money back, if you bitch and moan enough to them they may give you a discounted/free game or Xbox360 accessory with the refurbished unit. The extended warranty will only repair the system. Sorry, but you had a damn good idea though lol
