Lucid Scribe is a performance monitor much like the Windows Task Manager that takes a reading 10 times a second, stores the data and can view historical data. It is free, as in beer.
Plugins can be written for any third-party biofeedback devices. Version 0.9.3 (BETA) now lets you view Lucid Scribe Data (LSD) files from LSDBase.
LSDBase is a brand new database on consciousness research where I will be posting recordings of my sleep every other day. Access to the database is also free, as in beer.
The first few entries will just be of me wearing a Halograph Frequency Monitor; a headband with a motion detector that is sensitive enough to pick up the heartbeat. And can now finally detect rapid eye movement (REM) consistently. Furthermore, it plays a song when it detects dreams.
You are invited to start posting on LSDBase if you are able to collect biofeedback data in an altered state of consciousness, especially sleep. You are also welcome to post comments if you notice any interesting patterns in the data that I have missed. Or you can just view the research data anonymously.
I am excited to hear your comments, criticism, suggestions and advice!
