      Alcohol?

Since alcohol has a profound effect on the mind, I'm wondering if it also has an effect on dreaming. I'd say I'm a moderate drinker, and I've found that nights I drink tend to go by more quickly and be relatively dreamless. I don't know if it's a direct effect of the alcohol or the fact that it makes me sleep more deeply or what. But if it does have a negative effect on dream vividness, that would be a great reason for me to quit altogether since I'm trying to get on the lucid dream track now.

Alcohol has quite a large effect on dreams, I wouldn't recommend it on any night that your planning to have a lucid dream. In my experience alcohol has also left me with no dream recall. I'd recommend drinking apple juice, sounds cheesy but apple juice increases how vivid your dreams are and therefore your chances of getting lucid. Any other questions feel free to ask
      Good luck!
