Might Start a project/Make an app could be a hit

So i saw remme or how ever you spell it with the lights that flash into your eyelids when your dreaming and i was like what if there was an app with those same lights. well i kinda thought about it and here it is.

Make an app that does the flashing lights. (control brightness with the ipods settings)
put padding where it needs to be.
put a strap on it and maybe it could work.
for the whole detecting rem state thing maybe you could put a setting on the app to flash the lights at a certain time. all you would need to do would be figure out your sleep cycle.

Let me know what you guys think and if anyone would want to help em with this project?

I see a couple flaws, first you are not going to be able to detect REM so it will just have to be a manual setting of when the lights will go off, so you take the risk of missing the lights flash during REM(even if you know your cycle, pin pointing your REM cycles can be hard) . Second, an Ipod only has a limited amount of battery so having it on all night may cause it to die before the lights flash or before you reach later REM cycles. Third, radiation. Holding an electrical device like a cell phone or ipod to your head all night could cause some problems like cancer or other things later down the road.Last, the strap to keep it on your head would have to be made specially and manufactured so the phone /ipod wouldn't fall off. Then the strap would have to be bought first and then the app causing a hassle.

Heres my Solutuions to ur flaws,

1 - it would give off so little radiation it would be not noticable seeing as we have them in our hands/pockets at all times.
2 - Charge it the day your going to use it. the ipods battery life is ment to last throughout the day so why not a couple hours of the night?
3- and for the strap just get the velco strips you can place them on the back of your ipod and place the other piece on and type of strap and voila home made strap

I also think it would be uncomfortable to sleep with a phone on your face but I don't know. If you could develop it then I guess it would be cool to see how it turns out,go for it!

I thought it would be cool for someone to make an audio version of the Remee in an app where you put in headphones and you set custom audio reminders at certain times though your sleep.
