I'm not super knowledgeable about supplements, but for B6 I usually hear to take it shortly before going to bed. You might want to try taking some during a wbtb, supplements seem to work better when combined with a wbtb.

Going to move this to Lucid Aids so the experts can help you out.

Melatonin induces sleep, so - if at all -it should be taken before bedtime to ensure a good quality sleep. I take it 90 minutes before bedtime, which makes me stagger half-unconscious into bed.

B6 improves dream recall, and may help in gaining lucidity. It is best taken at WBTB-time (if this is practiced) to maximise its effect during the most dream-intensive part of the night (the last few hours). It can also be taken just before bedtime, but by very early morning most of the effect is probably gone. It tends to be somewhat stimulating also, which can prevent falling asleep (but probably not if taken along with melatonin, or some other sleep-inducing supplement or herb).
So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

I take Vitamin B6 about two hours before bed. It increasethe vividness of the dream exponentially. In a WBTB, it may not work.
