      does Valium inhibit recall or supress REM sleep?

      just curious because I never hear anything about Valium.......

      I'm not entirely sure, it seems like it would suppress recall though, but possibly not the REM stage. You just don't recall the dreams as well.

      Valium definitely does interfere with the sleep stages and given benzodiazepines cause memory loss and black outs, it most likely plays a role in inhibiting dream recall. So the answers to your questions are yes and yes.
