      Galantamine advice asap please

      Hi everyone,

I'm going to take Galantamine + Choline in the am (wbtb).

I tried 3 mg G and 250 mg choline, then another time 4 mg G and 250 mg choline, without any success. I was trying to wild, failed, then was unable to sleep.

I was thinking of trying 8mg G and 500 mg choline in the am.you think that's a good dose?

Also, I have melatonin 3mg. When should I take it to help me fall back to sleep? Or would that make it more hard to wild as I would just fall to quick?

Should I take anything else b4 sleep to improve my chance of success with G? Like choline b4 bed?

      Thx for the help!

Well, I've been experimenting with Galantamine and choline as well. I suggest, taking 4mg of Galantamine and 500mg of Choline. Melatonin is my preferred choice 30 min before bed. I highly doubt that the melatonin is going to hurt your chances of lucidity with taking galantamine and choline. So to get down to it, pop the melatonin before bed, wake up about 4.5 hours in the night, then pop the choline and galantamine.

I would suggest WILDing, but if you are having trouble falling asleep, just get LDing on your mind, then fall asleep as fast as possible. Pretty much just right after you take the 2. Don't worry, just believe it works, because you will most likely be surprised seeing yourself in the lucid dream. Remember, if you try to WILD, focus on the "falling" feeling, hence falling asleep. Good luck, hope this was some help!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Galantamine just may not work for you. It doesn't work for me. I've tried it I think 6 times now, the first couple of times it worked, for extremely short LD's, OBE's, I would be having a dream, realize I was dreamining, immediatly wake up into a OBE which would end approximetly 10 seconds latter, and that was it. And it hasn't worked again, no matter if I take Melatonin with it, if I take 5-HTP before bed, then WBTB, try to WILD, or try to DILD, it just doesn't work, in fact, I have an extremely hard time returning to sleep if I don't just take it and immediatly try to go back to sleep, and if I do just try to DILD, I'll wake up a couple of hours latter, and not remember dreaming at all.

Galantamine works for some people, but it is not a guaranteed lucidity pill, and is one of the worst supplements in my case that I've ever tried. Perhaps it depends on your acetylcholine levels, in some people's case they may not need more acetylcholine and may need more of something else, dopamine, or serotonin for example. In any case choline boosting supplements in general have not done much for me, with the exception of DMAE, which caused side effects I couldn't stand.

As "FireWalker" said, G may not be the right choice for you. It is more of a memory aid then a producer of LD's. If you are not doing them you will not remember them. However, in Yuschak's book he strongly recommends against Melatonin except in very small quantities (.35mg) that's point35mg. as melatonin seems to inhibit REM sleep in some individuals.

I know that, for me, sleep is sometimes so inhibited that I don't get to sleep for hours after I take the G. However, if I don't stop mediating I eventually get "out". It might not be until 5:30AM and I am more than ready to quit and just get up. I feel totally awake and then ... bomb... I am WILDing. Go figure.
